[QUOTE=A930Rocket;12469440]Between the two, it was a pretty good score.

An old Atlas drill press and an old craftsman milling vice. The vice goes front to back, side to side and spins.

QUOTE]

That rotary table with the vice on it is pretty nice.

302 out of an 89 Mustang GT. Not sure what I’m going to do with it. It came with an engine stand all for just $11!

You can never have enough tables and chairs, Baz!

After paying $200 for my rotary milling vice, I saw several on eBay for hundreds of dollars more. Maybe I did get a good deal!

Scored this pre ban 6 Gal. gas can for free while out for a bike ride with my wife today! Someone was cleaning out the garage and had a bunch of stuff out by the road. Since I was on a bike this was all I could carry. were a bunch of garden hoses that looked fairly new, but would have looked pretty silly with two hoses wrapped around me while on a bike. I was shocked when I looked up this gas can on Ebay and saw that one sold for $75 in the same condition as the one I just picked up.

Nice score, Von! I used to frequent the county landfill in Daytona and they had a household goods section for paint and other "chemical" stuff. Picked up some very useful items there over the years! In particular - plastic gas cans! Still using some of them and haven't had to buy new in many many years.

What’s a pre ban gas can?

I just ordered three old style gas spouts off Amazon. The ones on my small 1 gallon gas cans, or an exercise in frustration. I spill more gas than I put in the machine sometimes.

In 2009, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) implemented regulations that effectively banned the sale and manufacturing of vented gas cans, primarily due to concerns about emissions. These regulations focused on reducing gasoline vapors from escaping the can when not in use, which could contribute to air pollution. While vented cans were not outright banned, the new standards made it practically impossible for manufacturers to comply while maintaining the traditional venting design

Going camping this summer with some older folks, and I don't think they know what camping is. The menu they were talking about sounds like something you'd get in a fancy restaurant.

Not wanting to be cooking 24/7 on a small portable bbq, I picked this up used for $150cdn.

Should be able to cook everything at the same time on this monster.

I'm not listing the price I paid until I see how this does on eBay. (protecting my reputation ) These came from the estate of a former US Congressman.

I bid on an on-line auction US Congress Highball Glasses. 80 cases of 4ea glasses that are brand new in sealed boxes. These are vintage 1979 and they do not make these anymore with the 22K gold trim. I have listed my first batch on eBay.

Two free bicycles today. Men's and women's Cranbrook (sold by Walmart for ~$100 each).

Single speed beach cruisers.

They were out with someone's trash cans - not unusual to see this here. The rust and corrosion takes it's toll over time.

However - these two aren't in too bad a shape. Will need new chains and a good lubricating of other parts. Tires look OK - just need some air.

Good bikes for short cruises in the hood. Locks not necessary!

Craigslist and Garage sale scores!

Totally free - but likely most expensive garage sale find item!

We were headed to the beach a week ago and waiting for our son and his family to meet up with us for lunch at a restaurant we had already selected. Since we had a few minutes to kill and I noticed a neighborhood garage sale sign we stopped in to take a look. It was a small neighborhood and one of the houses had a relative that brought in five puppies about seven weeks old and were offering the puppies for free. Our current dog Beau is about 13 years of age and has arthritis and hip joint pain and we’re expecting that he won’t be around too much longer. We explained we were on the way to the beach vacation and couldn’t pick one of the dogs now but maybe on the way home we could drop by and make a selection then. On the way home Saturday we texted the family and they still had two dogs left. One of which was the dog my wife wanted the previous Saturday which I took as a sign that it was meant to be. So I introduce to you, Max.

Mom is a Labradoodle that weighs about 70 pounds and dad is a Pit that weighs about 70 pounds as well so this will be the biggest dog we’ve ever had. Max had his first check up yesterday and he weighs 10.4 pounds at nine weeks.

What a cutie, and a relative mutt, so stands a good chance of being healthier than a pure bred almost anything.

70# isn't too bad, especially if you have a house and yard.

Got this off Marketplace several months ago for $40. It got run over but still worked! Then I messed with it and it didn't. Finally took it to Hilti and the guy said is have to pay for shipping to the mainland, and if not repairable, and I wanted it back, I'd need to pay for shipping back to me. With that caveat, I said go for it. One week later, it was dropped off at my house. New case, switch, motor and whatever else. No charge and works like new!

Wooden Cabinet - antique and in very good condition. $16 - only 4 people bidding.
