One thing I wasn't ready for is it says it's done but if you open the door right away, be ready for super hot steam to blast your face. "Dry" and "Done" doesn't mean cool yet.
It will still have some steam in it for a few hours after. All that insulation keeps things toasty.

I just purchased this early...1966 bronc U14 half cab...first year... from a seller on Charleston sc craigslist. I had been looking for a while and this turned out to be a good deal for me. not fond of the color combination but an original uncut bronco is difficult to find . the vehicle was purchased by the seller from Arizona and was in rust free?? condition!

If that is the original paint and graphics I wouldn't touch it - I don't think it's that bad at all. Pretty cool, actually - from a retro POV anyway. Congrats on the acquisition - wow!

That's a very sweet score!

It's a 'ran when parked' kind of deal.
I forget the colloquial name of this type of mower but it appears to be a special mower designed to mow golf greens.

It's a "reel" mower.

In the trade, a mower designed for mowing golf greens is called a 'greens mower'. Not very imaginative, but they are reel mowers as they are excellent at producing a very precise cut.

Guess what the mower for mowing the fairways is called.

Is it a reel mower or a real mower? Looks pretty reel to me.

Yes it is a reel mower, but unlike most reel mowers. The blades spin backwards and throw the cut grass forward. "California Trimmer." This unusual configuration is needed for mowing bentgrass golf greens.

Was that supposed to be in GREEN sup?
Blades spin forward and throw grass forward via the shield on the backside of the reel.

By "backwards" I meant it spins in the opposite direction compared to ordinary reel mowers. They are not real ordinary, nor are they ordinary reel, mowers. According to my understanding, this configuration is reel necessary for bentgrass greens. I have spent enough time behind reel mowers to know that they have one more advantage. They do not throw things toward the operator's face.

I've never seen a mower that spins backwards like you describe. I can't see how the grass would get into the cutting action of the blades against the bed.
This one works just like my McLane front throw as far as the spin action of the reel.
