Now I am going to feel like Forrest Gump every time I mow.:D I am using a 30 inch cut but my first one was 26. The best part is you almost never work on them. Just mow year after year. The 26 was great until it got really hard to shift. Not sure what was wrong, it was easy enough to replace. |
Swapped out the seat and back wheels to my old Snapper. Sold the new one for $150 on Craigs list. Still have the weed eater on there. $50 profit in one day and got a nice seat. Total win.

FWIW, the above pictured styrofoam Jupiter 2 just sold for $312. Damn. Peeps and their obsessions. |

Just picked up a two year old 15 hp 4 in chipper-this one https://www.homedepot.com/p/Brush-Master-4-in-diameter-feed-15-HP-420cc-Commercial-Duty-Chipper-Shredder-with-Trailer-Hitch-Gloves-Safety-Goggles-included-CH4M20/311938212-for $150. Runs and operates perfectly but refuses to chip after blade was non professionally sharpened. Internet research indicates "they all do that" and that you're fine after replacing the blade. There's nothing to go "out of alignment" as the seller thought. Will see, blades arrive tomorrow.

This past Saturday--sitting on the curb with a couple plastic sleds, an old porch swing and some misc. scrap metal--caught me eye in the mirror after I passed and had to turn around to retrieve it--it was a pain putting in the back of the truck, once I got home I found out why it was so heavy--no dents/holes, all drawers work smoothly, even has the key.

Ah ha, that tray of brass plumbing bits reminds me of my collection of much the same stuff. Friends would mock me for keeping plumbing bits "just in case I need them", then phone me in desperation on a Sunday morning to bring them around.

Stopped by a yard sale and a estate sale today.
All this totaled $10. :D At the top is a 48" piece of stainless steel 3/32' thick with a beveled edge on one side. The 1/2" breaker bar is a Craftsmen. I spent 15 minutes with some steel wool and everything cleaned up real nice. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1601775295.jpg |
Nice score, Paul! Especially the lopping shears - if they work properly. Have you tried them out yet?
The second item from the top looks like one of those pressure wash wands you use with your garden hose. Nice to have the wrenches too! Congrats! |

And yes the other is a hose wand. It's got a really nice shut off valve and a 1/16" hole in the end of it. Shoots water about 15' |
Another table - in very nice condition too. Nothing broken and legs have proper screws in them!
Also a bicycle in poor condition but I like the riser handlebar to possibly use on my beach cruiser and maybe the wheels to make another windmill. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602631311.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602631311.JPG |
I used my little table today to do some re-potting. I have quite a few other tables similar to this one that I scored. They really come in handy!

I bought a couple statues quite a few years ago but never used them anywhere so of course they got gunky.
One (my photos as seen below) is a mermaid and the other (online pic) is Rebecca. This week I will be cleaning them both up and then hopefully will find a place to display them properly. I've always had concerns about theft, so will have to figure something out to help keep them from being carted off by some lowlife weasel. I live in a decent town but we do get our share of thieves. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602711460.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602711460.JPG https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/pr...uaosko-J9d99H4 |
Cleaned up with sander and varnished a section of bamboo. It's a half bamboo that I will use on one of my bamboo gates. I wanted to give it a treatment to help weatherproof it a bit. I really like the glossy appearance this varnish provided.

Oops....those last two posts were supposed to go into the Continuing Projects thread. Sorry.....

Found a bowling ball bag out for the garbage like new. Already on ebay. Also found a rigid vacuum like new at the same house but its a keeper. I found some more stuff today just out on a bike ride ill post those up soon. Nice job on the bamboo!
