For me, this was a score. I went to an Estate Sale and although this wasn't super cheap, it was a fantastic find and I feel that I got a good deal. The most impressive thing is that I loaded and unloaded this stuff all by myself. The table is at least 200 lbs.

All I ask is that after you move the table (assuming it's the 104" version like mine), that you post on this board how amazed you are that I moved my table all by myself. It's heavy as hell. :)

Man, that looks like a major score!!

I think his must also be the long one.
It's pretty damn heavy.
I am certainly impressed.

My buddy got this out of a dumpster. About $25 for a rope, a recoil spring and some carb cleaner and it works great.

That snapper has a never-die engine, but also comes with the free "nasty carbon footprint".
The above quote probably a statement from Honda http://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/lol2.gifhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/lol2.gif

Probably so.:D:D This one has an old white 8 hp Briggs. Possibly the original. Pull start only but it starts first pull every time. I think I am going out to mow some leaves on it now. Have make that footprint while I can.

I've got one of those "old white 8 hp Briggs" sitting in storage. I've had the thing since the '80s. My father had it rebuilt at the prison where he worked. Hasn't been run since.

I have heard a lot of guys *****ing about Briggs motors but Ive never had one die before the mower it was on. All a guy has to do is check the oil once in a while. Ive never even had an issue with alcohol in the gas.

Left curbside in front of one of the condos here....a Hampton Bay glider. Had rusty glider brackets including one that was broken. Not the prettiest but the slings are in perfect condition! I bought a new set of brackets for around $18 and put them on tonight and now she's working perfect again.

These things go for around $300 new. I will work on a new paint job later in the year.

My sister inherited my mom's lawn mower with an EXCELLENT briggs and straton engine. One day she phoned me to say it wouldn't go. I asked if she checked the oil each time she used it. she said "Oil?"

Yep, they last an eternity. They are always under powered, restricted by the small carbs they install on them.

Yep. Thats why the one I use has a 15.5 hp motor. 30 inch cut and it does not care if the grass is a bit tall. The dumpster one is on Craigs list for $175. Little late in the season so if I dont get $150 soon it can wait for spring.

Facebook Marketplace score. 2 Milwaukee portabands, a Dewault grinder, a Black and Decker grinder, Craftsman polisher/grinder, Makita circular saw, Craftsman sawzall, and a sander. One bandsaw needs brushes. The other works. Everything else "works" but need cords. All for $75.
