Picked this up this morning from a CL ad. (16) 12" x 3" Flat Roof Panels approx. 11' long plus (2) posts, and header.

$150.00

Will use as a canopy here somewhere - haven't figured that part out yet.

I'm power washing them right now and they are coming out very nice.

Pics from the CL ad:

Picked up this nice little air compressor on Nextdoor for $50.
Changed the oil first thing... looks like it had never been done. At least the oil level was correct.

Indeed...that's a $300 air compressor so great score, Graham! SmileWavy

Well done Graham! That really does look to be in new condition.

I took a chance on this Black Max compressor off of FB MP. Gave $100 for it. It needs a pressure switch ($20).

We will see if it's going to work or just be a volume tank for my existing system.

Is that just surface rust on the tank??? It looks sketchy for 125 PSI...

Check the tank with a welder's chipping hammer.

cmccuist 10-28-2020 08:09 PM

It’s got an ASME section VIII code stamp. I’m going to hydro test it.

I'm starting to become a Bowflex dumbbell hoarder. I found this pair on FBMP this weekend. The lady had $500 as her price, but then for some reason started dropping it drastically. I finally ended up paying her $180! And it came with the bench and stand.

I'm gonna need to check myself on the dumbbells.

I bought a Kwik Lathe on-the-car disk brake lathe for $40. I went to pick it up and got to talking with the guy about cars in general. He had an amazing shop with 5-6 big tool boxes. He says, "hey, i have a bunch of tools that i'm just going to get rid of. Would you be interested in them?" So i say yea, i'll take a look.

He shows me a couple of timing lights, a dwell-tach, and an engine analyzer. I'm like, "yea if you're just going to throw them out." Then, he says, well I have some old air tools that I'm also going to toss. He has a plastic garbage can that is about half full of impacts and air ratchets. I tried to pay him, but he says, no, just take them. It took both of us to load it into my truck!

Milwaukee, Bluepoint, Mac, Husky, one Snap on, Craftsman, and Central Pneumatic.

Crazy score!!

Now what are you going to do with it? Type that novel you've always wanted to write?

porsche930dude 11-09-2020 02:42 PM

I'll try to sell it at some point. i had a selectric II a few years ago but nobody wanted it. IBM helped make this town so its big around here there are collectors for it. Even if i end up scrapping it thats better than in the landfill. I see them on ebay from $8. to $600. so who knows

Tidybuoy 11-10-2020 10:07 AM

I would keep it and hire a cute secretary. Ahhh, the good old days.
