Right, now I need to score some man cave stuff. I’m probably going to scale the bar down a lot. I hate to tear into it but it’s really more than I need. Maybe I’ll start a thread on this project.

I can say that about my shop. But they say a man can never have too many tools.

I might. I should engage in some trades. Byron?

CG500 Stud Remover kit for $50! Sadly it isn't metric, but still cool regardless.

More free stuff......couple plastic storage bins (no lids) and a chair that I may be able to rehab. Interesting that is has a built in canopy!

Edit: Looks like that's a hundred dollar chair brand new!

$50cdn

Bosch 4100 Worksite Table saw with stand. Missing the fence/safety guard, and it needs an $11 bearing replaced on the motor.

Nice!
I am still using a little Hitachi compound slide miter saw that a carpenter friend of mine gave me 20 years ago. Needed a bearing on the blade side of the motor. Think it was $8 from a bearing shop. My dad modified a batter post puller to get the bearing off.

Got back in from working at 2 of my monthly accounts and saw some wood product at my neighbors 2 houses over.

Five sets of bi-fold doors in very good condition - plus a hollow interior door - all complete with hardware!

One of the bi-folds is solid - the rest shutter style.

Pulled it off the free pile, a benchtop jewelers saw. Except for the scuffs, it looks like it's barely been used. All it needs is blades.

Very cool, Herr Oberst! I had never seen one before but found this informative YT vid which shows the saw being used by itself.

I love this thread - learn a lot from it!

I didn't take photos...

I missed out on an online auction for a small metal gate for a fence. $160 and I stopped bidding. Then another similar gate and that was much the same. Stopped bidding. Then went to the dump shop and there was a small metal gate. Correct size to the millimetre. They wanted $6 but I got it for $5 LOL

I like the look of that jewelers saw. I bet I could find some uses for that.

I've never used a jewelers saw, so those are great tips. Thanks for posting.

Bill, that's a crazy story. The universe provides! The dude abides!

That same saw and fixture can be used for wood marquetry/inlay techniques as well. The video below jumps in where he discusses blade installation.

Curbside at a neighbors this morning, 3 sheets of 3/8" plywood, 2-2x6-12' and an 8' 4x4 treated. Free.

Heading out now to pick up a 16' aluminum handicap ramp with rails and a platform for $600 for my 92 YO father in law.
