That same saw and fixture can be used for wood marquetry/inlay techniques as well. The video below jumps in where he discusses blade installation.

Curbside at a neighbors this morning, 3 sheets of 3/8" plywood, 2-2x6-12' and an 8' 4x4 treated. Free.

Heading out now to pick up a 16' aluminum handicap ramp with rails and a platform for $600 for my 92 YO father in law.

My Garage sale scores is not in what I bought but what I sold...

$150 for a pair of Stiffel bedroom brass table lamps..cost $15.00
Sears router, router table and stand $80, cost $10.
3 Stiffel floor brass lamps wt glass table surround $120...cost $35.00
Ikea white book case and hose reel $10...cost $0 gotten from neighbors trash
Nortaki occupied Japan China with chips $20 cost $18.
2 Bagboy Golf carts $25 cost $15...

While I might of gotten a bit more for a couple of items, the mitigating factors are one they are gone from my life, and two it was an easy sale that didn't require an effort listing them and fielding calls.

Who says garage sales can't be profitable..

I cannot visualize tabs going thru the trash. I, on the other hand, have never bought a vacuum cleaner new. Sometimes there are up to half dozen around here ranging from shop vacs to uprights. When they really die, I put 'em back out in the alley where they came from.

It's amazing what people toss instead of investigating a broken belt or a clog in the passage ways.

Did a dump run the other day, sitting beside the bin is a twin stack 4 gallon air compressor, in new looking condition. Had an inkling so I grabbed it and took it home, sure enough when I plugged in, wouldn't work...until I hit the 5 amp breaker under the motor then it fired right up. Works perfectly.

Is there a difference in your mind between "sitting out by the curb".......and "going thru the trash"....or are they both the same thing?

The reason I say this is because the stuff I pick up is sitting by the curb.

In my mind.....I have never "gone through someone's trash". And as you said, I doubt Tabs has, but he can speak for himself.

Of course there is. One is in plain sight.

Wow, that's a serious score, congrats!

Yes, the benefit of stupid people with money lol. Literally looks like it was bought for a project used once and discarded.

I got my compressor out of the ditch. The capacitor failed and he literally threw it into the ditch. Took me five minutes to fix it.

Some people just don’t even try to fix ****. Ive scored two working dysons that just needed the tubes removed and the junk cleared out.

Lots of folks out there are completely clueless when it comes to "mechanical" things. Thank your lucky stars that you/we aren't them. I can't even imagine what it would be to go through life like that. I guess you wouldn't realize that you were frequently getting screwed over whether it was actively done by someone unscrupulous or just down to your own ignorance.

tabs 05-18-2021 02:21 PM

Dysons need filter cleaning. and then they realkly su(k

tabs 05-18-2021 02:22 PM
