Free.

On my way home from working at one of my monthly accounts and passed a property with a headboard out front and what also looked like some tongue and groove planks. I didn't care about the head board but was interested in getting a closer look at those planks. Turned out they were vinyl fence pickets with a wood grain finish...lol.

As I was standing there the owner and his wife came out and we struck up a conversation and he ended up giving me this patio heater. They had just re-located here from a larger house in Orlando and were liquidating some of their stuff they didn't have room for.

Anyway, they found out I knew about landscaping so they have my contact info and at some point whenever they need it I told them I would share some of my knowledge base with them with whatever they were interested in doing at their new place.

Which I don't mind doing. Nice couple. Married 33 years. He's in the PPE business (30 years now) and said it's been absolutely crazy trying to keep up with the demand. It's a big company too.

Nice score on the heater. Now if the temp gets below 60, you've got a way to avoid frostbite! :D ;)

I know you're just kidding around but you lived here for a while - you know there are plenty of chilly days and nights.

Plenty cold enough for a heater of some kind.

Thing is - with some of the modifications I have been making here lately with my outdoor living areas, this little heater might fit in quite well!

Those little heaters are handy. We have one that I snagged on bulk trash day in our neighborhood. 🤣

It’s a 1920’s bar. I guess I’m not going to be doing as much car stuff as I planned. And now I need to find a bartender.

herr_oberst 04-07-2021 06:41 PM

Need a bartender?

"Lloyd" is not too busy at all, Mr Torrance....

Seems like Robert Duvall is a bit of a barfly...

Found this table base at the curb it had a broken glass top I had a perfect size plywood top for it so screwed it together. I pick up any salvageable furniture i come across and bring it to the consignment shop down the street.

NICE! I heart tables!

Picked up a couple chairs today. Saw them on my way to pick up roof panels on the other side of the county and figured they'd be gone by the time I got back into town but nope - there they were......

Nice because they fold up when not in use and are plastic so won't rust! :)

porsche930dude 04-16-2021 05:07 PM

There was a set of porsche cookie cutters on cl for free at the curb across town. 5 hours after listed but i went down there anyway and they were gone.

I bought these "speakers" at a Goodwill for $20. That's what they were listed as. I can't find the jacks to connect the speaker wires!!!

Yea, Linksys mesh system. Model WHW03 - 6 of them with the AC adaptors.

Listed this on Craigslist this week for $85...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1618697300.jpg

I paid $280 for it new and only used it once...4 years ago. I figured instead of just sitting on my shelf...might as well list it for a good price and get rid of it.

First caller said he would take it and we set up a place to meet the next day to complete the sale.
An hour before the meeting...he texts me and says he wants to see a video of the sprayer working. WTF..I told him "no way..it works and if you don't believe me, the sale is over."

He showed with the money and he ended up with a great deal.
