I have never gotten the flu shot, I don't believe in any big conspiracy or even dispute its efficiency. I don't know....maybe its the feeling that old people get the flu shot, and I'm not willing to admit I'm old yet!!!:D

Funny.....this is the exact opposite recommendation of my doctors during and after chemo. Actually told me to wait two years min before getting a flu shot.......... Maybe the difference lies in the type of chemo or what they are trying to kill within you with the chemo? Hope so, otherwise one of us is being lied to.

Actually, afterburner unwittingly demonstrates what is so great about this country. We are free to get a flu shot or not, free to believe in science or not, free to be a complete nutter and express any nutter views on the internet, etc...

No. I have worked in an environment that encouraged employees to be vaccinated (for free), and have done a small sample of those who had and had not been vaccinated, then compared the numbers, and it yielded no reason for me to ever get one. It was a simple q and a, then not see them for 3 days.

I did get the flu in early 2011, it sucked, but only for 2 days. It must have been a pretty bad strain, several fell ill and one guy died following the business conference.

Mothers are wonderful, but I wish mine would get off my ass about getting a flu shot every year.
