Oh Haha 07-22-2014 05:03 PM

Picked up "Snake and Mongoose" over the weekend at the grocery store.

It's an interesting movie albeit a bit slow a times. I grew up in the 70s and had the Hot Wheels cars so it was cool to see how things worked behind the show, so to speak. Plus the movie came with a tshirt with the critters on it.

"Space Cowboys" just started on AMC.

RIP James Garner.

Don't know why, but any time "Australia" comes on, I watch the entire movie.
Perhaps Nicole Kidman has something to do with it.
Gosh, I love testa rosa's!

I was watching it last night as well, Matt. Great movie.

FYI: Caddyshack just started on AMC. :)

A cult classic, Matt - especially I bet up there in PA!

Nice "Chinatown" poster, Paul!

Another classic - when Nicholson was in his prime, IMHO.

Now tonight on AMC at 8pm eastern ---- "Jaws" will be airing.

One of my favourites. :)

I watched Ladykillers on TCM. Great movie with Alec Guiness and Peter Sellers. Much better than the Coen Bros remake with Tom Hanks.
The Ladykillers (1955) - IMDb

Yes, Ladykillers was one of the rare Coen failures.

But The Big Lebowski made up for it!

I worked on both, Lebowski seemed odd at the time but of course was a hit. Ladykillers seemed like it would be a hit and missed. I felt the same way working on Forrest Gump (why in the hell is Tom Hanks talking with that stupid accent?). What the hell do I know, right! :)

NICE! Thank you, Paul.

I must have watched "Good guys wear black" back in the 80's a million times right after HBO first came out and they aired the same movies over and over...ha ha.

I don't remember a Porsche turbo in the movie - cool poster!

===========

FWIW "Jaws" is airing again on AMC. I love that movie - the best scene is when Quint goes before the city council and runs his fingernails down the chalkboard....

Saw Lucy the other day, some interesting concepts & conversations with Morgan Freeman's character.

You want a guilty pleasure?

I went to high school/college with the lead (pink sweater).

She only did a couple movies and the other big one was Gumball Rally where she drove a 911 and uttered the immortal line: "if you can catch us, you can have us."

Baz 08-17-2014 06:36 PM

Cool, Tech. A good friend of mine dated a Playboy Bunny for a while - that's about as close as I ever got to a 'guilty pleasure'. :)
