Back then some really popular movies ran for years in the cinemas.

The VCR changed all of that.

True. When I was 16 I worked at a theater, downtown Chicago. We showed Midnight Cowboy for at least 6 months. But, this Sting thing was a total brain failure on my part.

The movie Love Story (1970) ran for over 4 years in a local cinema!

(Ryan O'Neal - Ali MacGraw)

The chicken was a hilarious add-on

Yup, Leslie Chow’s character is a great one that runs through the trilogy. I can just imagine what Dr. Ken Jeong’s patients felt like prior to him turning to comedy full time.

Just saw this today. I don't think there was enough violence . :)

Watching "The Manchurian Candidate" on TCM right now. The original from 1962 with Frank Sinatra & Lawrence Harvey.....produced and directed by John Frankenheimer and based on the Richard Condon novel.

Really good cast and great story!

I watched this last night. Great but very different to the earlier "Jolie" movies.

We saw it this weekend. The violence and action was good for a violent, action movie. I'm thinking the series is beginning to deteriorate though.

I'll have to record this. Right off recognized Wo Fat from the original Hawaii Five-O.

Love the Wo-Fat character in Five-O. Yes indeed, if you haven't yet - this film is a must! Especially great ending.

Got in for lunch in time to watch the end of "Risky Business" - one of the greatest moves of all time.

Not a gamer. Does one need to know the game to get the movie ?

The movie stands on its own. I liked it and I'm not a gamer either.

This is different. Shocking at times, then dreary and sad... Natalie is a great actress and she takes chances. I like that about her.

I recorded it. Never seen it before. Watched Terminator Genesys last night. Previously only saw the original, back in the day. Got in the mood for some Skynet action, I guess.:D:D

A quick search just told me Altered Carbon hasn't been discussed here. It's a Netflix Sci Fi miniseries with lots of nudity, so some of you old farts may want to pass. Highlight is a sword fight with naked clones.
