Theaters in September...Beetlejuice 2
Keaton looks like he is younger than ever. Jenna Ortega will be good.

Well,

If the old Road House was a 10, I'd have to give the new Road House a 6...

Felt like it was stealing bits and pieces from a lot of different movies.

That was a great movie! But I like that type.

If you have Prime...you will prob like 'The Passenger' Post# 3581
It's the type of movie that will stick with you for a week.

I was pretty disappointed with the new Road House. The original one had that guilty pleasure aspect to it. Jake was good as Dalton- it sure looked like he prepared for the role, but was let down by the writing. The writing of the new one was poor and most of the characters were poorly developed. Colin McGregor was an inspired choice as the fixer and fun to watch. The action and fighting were good. The casting of the bar owner was horrible, but I loved Jessica Williams in Shrinking.

You need MGM+ to see this (you could do a 7-day free trial). 3 1/2 hours long, but it's supposed to be good.

I honestly didn't like anything about it. The fight scenes sucked, I really hated the camera work and Conor McGregor was to over the top. I'm gonna watch the original now to get that bad taste outta my mouth.....bummer, I was really looking forward to this too.

May they NEVER do a remake of "Death Proof."

stevej37 03-25-2024 11:43 AM

'Chained' on Prime. A thriller/horror movie that I'm surprised I never saw. One of the best horror movies I've ever seen now.
Vincent D'Onofrio (Gomer Pyle from Full Metal Jacket) plays a serial-killer cab driver who kidnaps a 9 year old boy to make him his son./prisoner. A film by Jennifer Lynch.....daughter of David Lynch

Holy crap, stevej37! I've seen quite a few films in my days and this one is up there with most disturbing as "The Excorcist"

stevej37 03-26-2024 08:51 AM

^^^ Well....her father wrote Dune 1984. (one of the worst movies I've seen)
So, she has an excuse. :D

"Did you see 'The Passenger' yet? Post #3581"

Yes sir, thought it was a good one.

stevej37 03-26-2024 12:27 PM

^^^ That one (Passenger), affected me more than Chained.
I think it was because I could see it possibly happening with guys at that age.

Scott Watkins 03-26-2024 12:53 PM

For sure!

JackDidley 03-27-2024 09:39 AM

I just watched 45 minutes of Madame Web. I just did it because Dakota Johnson is the star. She looks good but could not save this movie for me.
