I finally watched "Reacher".

Thought is was OK. Best part was when they saved the dog. :)

As far as movies go it's certainly no perfect but it's got a lot going for it.

It was shot locally, they set up a studio in the industrial park where my office and warehouse is. Turns out she was a real biotch, rude to servers in the local restaurants, and everyone in general. I was on the county film commission when we landed that movie.

Ready Or Not- in the same wacky vein as Clue or Knives Out but as a horror show.

Baby Driver- should be stupid and it's got all the cliches, but surprisingly entertaining

JackDidley 03-22-2022 12:01 PM

Gasoline Alley. Bruce Willis is in this movie just enough to get his name in the credits. Low budget movie, and it shows. If it was not cold and rainy out I would have turned it off after 10 minutes.

Considering her personal history that's been made public... Why am I not surprised?
- Back in the day she looked great then came the bOOb job and everything went down hill from there.

Do you remember St. Elmo's Fire? I recently re-watched it and it's aged well.

Watched Knives Out for the third or fourth time. We need more like it.

Baz 03-24-2022 01:18 PM

St Elmo's Fire was great!

On TCM, just watched "The Time Machine" - the George Pal directed 1960 original with Rod Taylor and a very young Yvette Mimieux.

Really great movie with a fantastic ending!

Interesting post apocalyptic war movie.

The ending needed to be better...otherwise I liked it.
Noomi is a bad-a**

Time Machine is one of my favorites.

Doesn't excuse her flat out rudeness and meanest to people unfortunate enough to have to serve her.

Crowbob 03-24-2022 04:59 PM

Time machine scared the poop out of me. I don't know why because it's not supposed to be a scary movie. Them beady-eyed hairy things were living under my bed for months.

I still can't watch "The Birds " because of seeing it as a youngster. I just can't bring myself to watch it.

Actually I wasn't trying to defend her at all. Lots of Hollywood starlets can be difficult but she's always had the reputation of being one of the worst. Their job is to look good and pretend to be someone else & regardless of how important they may think they are that's the truth.

Years ago I read a story about Julia Roberts and how difficult she was on the set of Hook (1991)
- She soon became known as "TinkerHell" by the other actors and crew.

Here's a scene from Nobody. This movie will become a classic IMO.

Will have to look for this. Noomi rocks for sure.

Just watched Green Book. Not the sort of movie I normally look for. Well written and well acted. Worth a look.

I thought Green Book was excellent!

Baz 03-26-2022 03:08 PM

Watching "The Bridge on the River Kwai" on TMC.

Both Sir Alec Guinness and William Holden's best movie, IMHO.

Also like James Donald in this one....

craigster59 03-26-2022 08:42 PM

I just watched "There Will Be Blood" again. Holy moly, I forgot how intense that movie is. Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano are at the top of their game.

berettafan 03-27-2022 03:10 AM

Thanks for the Black Crab tip. Was pretty decent for a dubbed movie.

X2 on There Will Be Blood. Honestly drew some satisfaction from the ending. What a great job the kid did playing a nut. Terrifying at times.

"I drink your milkshake!"

It came out at the same time as No Country For Old Men, another great one.
