It looks good...but the only way to watch it is listed as on 'Fandango at Home'. Is that a streaming service? |
You can rent it on Amazon or Apple TV+ in HD for $3.99 (or buy it on Amazon for $5). Also can rent it on YouTube in SD for $3.99.
Streams on HD on kanopy or SD on hoopla. |
^^^ Thanks...I'll check it out.
I think they only listed Fandango because I was searching on the Rotten Tomatoes site. They gave it a 96 and 89 |
Coming soon to the Netflix.

Here's the 2025 Best Picture nominee list:
Best picture "Anora" (Neon) "The Brutalist" (A24) "A Complete Unknown" (Searchlight) "Conclave" (Focus) "Dune: Part Two" (Warner Bros.) "Emilia Pérez" (Netflix) "I'm Still Here" (Sony Classics) "Nickel Boys" (Amazon/MGM) "The Substance" (Mubi) "Wicked" (Universal) The only one I've seen is Dune2. What else is worth seeing? |
Anora won a few Oscars, including best picture. I don't know anything about it. If you like Dylan vintage folk/rock A Complete Unknown is excellent. Haven't seen anything else.

Watched it....OK movie but predictable. The wife, Sarah Gadon, made it worth watching. :) . |

We watched Dune 2 again the other night. In the theater is best but this time wasn't too bad now that I have my surround sound system working correctly. My wife is an insanely huge Dune fan. She re-reads the book every year! For our anniversary a few years ago, I bought Dune 1 opening day theater tickets. The seats were dead center in the theater, the nice big reclining seats. When the movie was over, all the credits had run and the house lights turned on, she turned to me and said, "best anniversary ever!" |
^^
Nice Job David! |

Has she ever watched Dune 1984? Did she like that one? It's rare to find anyone who liked that one... . |

A so-so thriller on Netflix.
Don't watch the whole trailer if you plan on watching the movie. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pDj0jgSEb2Y?si=Pu2lwxj45nGvWtes" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Normally I wouldn't bother with a movie like this but I'm glad I did.
It's won a whole bunch of awards. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_accolades_received_by_Anora Great movie but it's a tragedy. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/GuPkfvxmtdw?si=oxRwFZ_o0ThVIXz0" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Just watched this on Netflix. Pretty good! If you watch the trailer, it'll spoil too much.

I have ben going through list of movies I missed the first time around--just watched "The Keep" last night--1983 Michael Mann screenplay and directed flick. The SFX are obviously dated, but it wasn't a bad flick--Gabriel Byrne and Jurgen Prochnow, Ian McKellan, and Scott Glenn in a fantasy WWII good vs. evil story. The direction was vintage Mann--some of the scenes could have been from an early season episode of Miami Vice. Tangerine Dream did the soundtrack.
Next on the list The Duelists Barry Lyndon Sorcerer Charley Varrick |
Patriots Day with Markey Mark.
Meh. He can be a darn decent actor (Departed, The Fighter) but he can also be a caricature of himself. This was the latter. Runaway Jury with Hackman and Dustin Hoffman. A touch better than meh. Simplistic story line didn’t rise to the actors involved but I always enjoy Hoffman. |
