Possibly the worst movie I have ever seen.

Watched gladiator ii. Wow was that terrible.

"Fail Safe" just started on TCM. Will be followed by "The Bedford Incident".
As always.....commercial free! |
Just rewatched "Nobody" again with Bob Odenkirk on Amazon Prime (or was it Netflix). Always a good movie. In a way the plot line somewhat reminds me of "A History of Violence" with Viggo Mortensen. Another good movie that I can't believe is now 20 years old.

'Balloon Boy' on Netflix
A true story, but was it real or faked? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/FFzy3qlkIAM?si=VTyBfWwiTTL6b-l3" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Last night I watched back to back airings on FX (cable) of "Equalizer 3". I had seen it a couple times before. I was sorting though motorcycle parts.
Robert McCall is one bad mother whom I would hate to go up against. I also feel as a sequel to the first and second Equalizer there was zero drop off in quality. In fact an argument could be made this one was the best of all three. "Two c's......two l's!" |
In order of preference I like 3, 1, and 2. The scene in the restaurant and with the van in 3 are my favorites, as well as the town that embraced him. The villain "Teddy" in 1 was terrific.

Trainwreck...Woodstock 99 on Netflix

Recommend The Penguin Lessons, which streams on Netflix. It you like animals, you'll automatically like it, perhaps more than you expect. It's based on a true story in 1976 Argentina, and supposedly the penguin part is spot on. The age and attitude of the teacher has been altered to make a stronger storyline. It's a weird mix of animal friendship and politics, but that's when and where it happened. The video clips give away too much, I think, so I'd suggest going in blind.

Coming up shortly on TCM.....from 1979 and directed by Frances Ford Coppola, co-written by John Milius: "Apocalypse Now".
Anthony Bourdain told a story of when he was a cook early in his career, they’d have “The End” on the radio in the kitchen, and when Jim Morrison started singing “This is the end…” they’d hit the pan with oil making big flames like the jungle getting napalmed in this scene. <iframe width="911" height="387" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/CIrvSJwwJUE" title="Apocalypse Now intro: The Doors, The End {1979}" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
