Maybe a stupid question....What is Netflix Tudum?
I keep getting emails about it, but don't see it on the Netflix tv app.

Scott Watkins 07-02-2025 04:05 PM

"What does 'Tudum' mean? “Tudum” is the spelled-out version of the sound that plays before Netflix's original movies and series. It's also the name of the streaming platform's “companion site,” which helps viewers “find and fuel” their fandom for the Netflix shows and movies they like, according to Netflix's website."

^^^ Ok...I thought I might be missing a whole area of movies.
Now I feel better. :)

I have to laugh at the fact that Seinfeld made more money when he sold the 917 from the movie than the cost and gross from the movie.

I saw Baghdad Cafe is on Amazon Prime and watched it. I saw it when it came out in 1987- it had great reviews. I couldn't find a video that doesn't give away too much of what happens. It's about a heavy set German woman who is left in the desert near Las Vegas and she walks into a little cafe/gas station/motel. It moves slowly, but it's very charming. Marianne Sägebrecht is impressive as the German woman, Jack Palance is an oddball that lives there, and CCH Pounder runs the place.

Red Eye on Netflix

On TCM right now..."Lawrence of Arabia"!

As always......commercial free!

sc_rufctr 07-07-2025 10:16 PM

This is not a good movie but it somehow crosses the threshold of entertaining.

Elsa Pataky (Chris Hemsworth's wife) is the lead and Chris has an uncredited cameo (Australian/US production filmed in Aus).

I remember watching that. It was a decent watch. Chris' wife, huh?

The Synergizer 07-08-2025 11:29 AM

Well, it finally circled back around...
Typical 80's horror movie. Not as good as you like to remember. But OK.
On YouTube movies.
Jeeze, Roddy only made it to 61.

Steve Carlton 07-08-2025 03:13 PM

Roddy’s personality is what made that movie for me.

Another Trainwreck episode on Netflix...The Real Project X
A planned party for a few friends goes out of control and thousands show up to party.

'One Night in Idaho: The College Murders' on Prime

If you can tolerate Prime's commercials and freezing up....This docu is done really well.
