Netflix recently got all the Bond films. Watched them mostly in chronological order. Big drop off in maturity over many years. The franchise went all out to find increasingly ludicrous situations.

So glad for the Daniel Craig era...

I had never seen "A View to A Kill" until just a couple of weeks ago. Holy cow, what a piece of crap. Christopher Walken is wasted as the villian, the plot to take over the chip market is laughable, Tanya Roberts shows why she is no longer relevant, the gadgets are silly toys, and Roger Moore - well, the less said about him the better. (He baked a QUICHE! Sean Connery would not bake a quiche)..Moore was always my least favorite JB, and this is his worst attempt at hamming his way through the performance.

(Dr. No is STILL fantastic. I'll bet I've seen it ten times, it never fails to entertain.)

I agree, the Daniel Craig era has to be the best story line and fx. The funny thing is that who knows, in 30 years they will probably say the same thing about being cheesy, lol. Sean Connery is probably my favorite because he is such an iconic actor IMHO. Roger Moore, although not the best but his films hold a certain level of enjoyment simply because it reminds me of the “father and son” movie trips growing up. The very first Bond film we saw together was “Live and Let Die”. Just like “Excalibur”. Being a Professional Civil Engineer, my dad was conservative to say the least and in his opinion, I only missed school if I was on my death bed. So for him to pull me out of school so that he and I could see the movie together was quite the occasion. Needless to say, is still a good memory since that was decades ago.

The funniest memory was a movie double feature my brother and my dad did was seeing “The Spy Who Loved Me” and ................. “The Kentucky Fried Movie”. My first big screen shot of boobies.... Needless to say my brother and I were on the edge of our seats enjoying the sights while my dad was slouched down in his seat with his hand on his head like he was thinking “oh crap, their mother is going to kill me”.

Last year, Netflix aired the “Kentucky Fried Movie”, I told my wife the story and happily started the film. Wow! Talk about cheesy...........

In my marathon 007 run with the crack cats in the morning, I gotta admit that if I had seen this one as my first Bond movie, I probably would have stopped. Talk about horrid.........

We still pull movie trips but due to health issues, not so much. The parents enjoy Studio Movie Grill because of the food and drinks.

Yeah but you left out the best part of the movie....Grace Jones as "Mayday"!

I've always been a big fan and her character didn't disappoint.....

Just watched the movie Mine on Netflix. Good movie! 2 soldiers out in the desert. One steps
on a mine and can't move or he will get blown up. Follows his mental journey over the next
60 hours. Well worth watching

I thought that was a good movie. I’ve always liked the movies like that with limited number of actors.

Passengers
Moon
Castaway, etc.

Not a film of high action but more about the storyline.

With the embed, the video can be viewed directly on the forum post.

With the link - you have to go to the YT site to view it.

Both are perfectly fine as far as I'm concerned. I just like the embed for convenience sake.

==========

My method uses the "embed code" pasted into the "link" button....yours uses the site address copied into the "link" button.

To obtain the "embed code" right click on the video while it's playing, select "copy embed code", then paste that into the link button.

Thanks Baz, I’ll see if I can do that rather than my old way. Didn’t even know that way was possible.

Tanks mon

BTW, still waiting for the “close up” of the moon shot you took a while back

That’s is exactly how I found it too. Sam Rockwell is quite the diverse actor and this is no exception.
