I need a new grease gun!
No, not a spoon!
My El Camino has many grease zerts on the front end that require grease. I have been using a cheap POS grease gun that I bought 20+ years ago. I threw that one in the trash this weekend. I only grease the front end of my Elky, the rear wheels on my lawn mower and the two spots on my floor jack. What is a good quality grease gun that will load a cartridge of grease easily and work when the handle is pulled. I don't want a electric or air powered unit or cheap Chinese Harbor Freight model. Any suggestions?

Sorry, can't help you there. I'm still using the ones my dad had from back in the '50's I'm almost sure. They don't take cartridges.

I would suggest a cheap POS Chinese Harbor Freight air-powered model. Prolly last 20 years like the one you just tossed.

I bought a rechargeable grease gun that has a little motor to push heavy grease into big equipment.
However, I like the el cheapo grease guns more because they obviously last longer. |

I still use the grease gun my dad had in the 1950s. It works great! The biggest problem I have is the grease in the tube separating and the oils running out of the gun. I'm thinking I need a grease gun that only has a few months worth of grease capacity so it doesn't have time to separate, or some kind of stable grease.

I've used a pistol grip version for 15 years on all the farm equipment. I had a lever version but I prefer the pistol grip so I can keep the grease fitting pressed with one hand and operate the gun with the other.
Works for me, especially in hard to reach areas. ![]()

I have two Lincoln grease guns. One is the leaver type and the other pistol grip type.
They have always worked well. I had both of them on a job site years ago and someone stole the T-handles off of both of them... WTF?

Where did you order from Glen? I need to order a new one as well, I threw my HF cheapie away in a fit of rage after I couldn't get the damn thing to work. I need one to lube my boat trailer bearing buddies on a regular basis.

I did the same thing a couple of years ago and bought a Lincoln. Lincoln is carried by most auto parts stores, Amazon, I think even Walmart carries them.

Good ol Amazon.com.
Anymore when I think of a product I need I put it in my wish list on Amazon. When I get enough for free shipping I place the order. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002NYDZ8/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2ZSJX18XX4JB0&coliid=I1AKSM7CO143RD#productDetails
