Man, I am gutted. That cat was with me for over a quarter of my life. He was a bit of a pita - kind of a spaz, hid from strangers until the last year or so, and all of 2014 has been really hard as he struggled with digestive issues and rarely let me sleep more than 2 hours at a shot. But we're all a pita one way or another. My brief FB eulogy:
After a rough year or so and slow decline, Thursday night at midnight Milo wanted to have one last walk in the back yard. Friday morning he was weak and dehydrated, this morning the vet came to the house and helped Milo pass peacefully to a better place. Here's to a wonderful 14+ years together after rescuing him as an adult from a shelter in '00. Or considering he was always there through six different homes and two marriages, maybe he rescued me. God speed my friend. Namaste. |

So sorry to hear about Milo. My little cockapoo has been with me almost 40% of my life. Strange when you put it like that.

this is tough for me to hear of your loss as I just lost my best friend on june 29th. I still feel empty without my cocker.

Just to add some levity to a very sad day in your life...
We have two very sweet female indoor cats, I put my foot down and said "read my lips, NO MORE PETS!" So then we adopted Marshall: Good morning daddy,  Whacha eatin?  We need to talk,  My dear departed Scupper, +15 years

We know this going into the deal, but we choose to love them.
Cats are such a wonderful addition to our lives. It's always heartbreaking when we lose them, because we chose to love them. We will always be glad we chose them.
