Excellence and the Tech Art Turbo

Yes I saw the hideously gaudy SLR. But I don't think the people running Excellence are far behind. WTF are they thinking lately?

Surely I can't be the only who thinks this overpriced gaudy POS was made for NBA stars and junior arabian princes and should never have been a cover car on what was formerly my favorite Porsche mag.....

The only attractive feature car in the issue is the tan 356.

I'm going to have to let my sub to "Sub-Par" - I mean "Excellence" - expire and I guess I'll renew my PCA membership so I can get Pano.

I let my Excellence expire, the new Pano is far better. Even the Excellence FB page is junk.

I was just catching up on a few old issues. I wasnt sure if I've lost interest or if Excellence has lost something, sounds like it's not just me.

In their defense, how many 356 or long hood articles can their be?

The new Pano is quite good. Excellence is much like many of the mainstream American car magazines - they've never driven a car they don't like. Follow the money, I'm sure Tech Art is an advertiser....

Have you guys read the latest Excellence? The typos and grammar mistakes are horrendous. Obviously zero proof-reading of articles before they go to print. Some sentences I had to read more than once to figure out what was going on as they would have entire words missing or random "000" numbers right in the text.

Crazy bad.

I've subscribed to Excellence since the beginning. I just let that subscription lapse.

can someone post a pic of this thing? I haven't gotten Exc in years. Panorama pulling Pete Stout away was the best thing the mag could do. Love every issue.

I haven't seen the Excellence issue but I guess this is the one people are talking about?

Take away the gaudy graphics and it isn't that much different in appearance to a normal Turbo S (different lip spoiler and side skirts). I don't see what the fuss is about?

I've seen that car in the flesh. It's much worse than the picture would lead you to believe.

One man's horrendous travesty is another man's thing of beauty. This applies to Porsches as well.
