I'd be curious to know what those '74 MFI cars were selling for 5 or 10 years ago.

You could take away any digit in the $345,900 you like, and still cut that number in half ... then maybe cut that number in half.

Heck I might even sell my 911 for that.

I can see it as a $75K car but not much more. Engine is worth $35K alone.

Just because it's for sale for that much doesn't mean in any way it is worth that much. I's a bit like my SC is for sale for a million but I'll take twenty five thousand for it.

I've been saying for some time on this board that the '74 Carrera was THE car to buy.

abides.

I think it's pretty obvious that ANY 65-89 911 has been THE car to buy.

After that lovely 73 RS that went for well over a million earlier this year anything is possible.
![]() Note I didn't say probable. "This is a spectacular example of of the European Carrera with the 911/83 RS mechanically injected 210 hp engine. Originally delivered to Italy, it is one of only1,647 cars ever produced. Black with tan leather, factory sunroof and graphics. Only three owners with the original tool kit and jack, all books and records and Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche. With the current run up of the "RS' and 911 "S" models, these cars are the most sought after collector car in the Porsche market today" ![]()

Hey you guys all laughed when I listed my 76' 911S Targa last year for $50k................
Oh, and it did sell for that price in 4 days! Just wish I could go back in time and tell myself not to sell any of my long hoods or 356's!! And to buy more of them!

Same type of situation as a Carrera engined 356... no matter what body it is in, serious price increase
Real Carreras have 4 cams!

For that they should have sprung for real graphics. The right side mirror is about as rare as they come.

Indeed. I remember a "maybe suitable for rebuild" core engine w/ a few missing parts selling for over $50k about 10 years ago...

Pretty bizarre pricing. I have seen them here in Sweden for tenth of that price and lower.
