Yeah Matt....Whiskey Tango......how lucky was Auburn last night...whoa!
Let's see how the Mounties do with Boomer Sooner and the Gators with the Crimson Tide. Pressure on the opposing QB will be the main factor on who wins. Going to be some great football....

Gotta give Auburn credit, they didn't make a ton of mistakes and they made plays when they needed to. But as a KSU fan, oh what might have been....

Got to respect KSU - they are tough. And feel very lucky.

Georgia Tech escapes
GT got by Virginia Tech 27 - 24 in a game loaded with small penalties and player mistakes. Still, it is always fun to watch the GT Triple Option at work!

Well it was competitive for at least the first half before Bama proved why they are the best in the country.
Florida was out played and to some degree out-coached, I'm sorry to say. Congrats to Blake Sims who had the best game of his life and the entire Bama program. Onward....

Neck and neck through the 3rd though. It was way closer than that final score.
FSU/Clemson is a good one without our most recent POS Heisman winner. I wish they would consider some off the field qualities when they hand out the most important award in college football.

Clempson had that game and fumbled it away....but they will still lose a couple this season don't worry. I've tried to believe in our QB Jeff Driskel but yesterday I saw enough. Time to bring in the backup QB true freshman Treon Harris. I hope our coaching staff will do this - not an easy decision as Driskel is a good kid who is well liked. But he numbers yesterday were terrible.

Two years in a row they've chosen arrogant "two and done" players who show little respect for the game and have been in legal, NCAA, and institutional trouble. Fantastic players but not fantastic people, and each year the good guys like Collin Klein and AJ McCarron are distant losers. Pretty unfortunate example.

I've also had enough of J.Winston. I was disappointed that he got so much air time last night. I was pulling for Clemson sadly, just to see Winston get punished for once. Just think what he'll be like with 5-10 million dollars in his pocket once he signs to play in the NFL.

Help.
Daughter starts at University of Oregon in a day. I am apparently expected to follow the Ducks. But I know zip about college football or about this team. Can someone give me a few bullet point rundown of enough info that I can fake it? All I know so far: - They are 3-0, having just beaten Washington State in a rather close away game - Their QB is good, possible Heisman candidate - He got sacked 5-6 times in the last game, which even to my dim brain sounds like an offensive line problem - defense gave up 31 pts, is that bad or do college teams simply score a lot? |

First thing I would do is never try to fake anything - anyone you are hoping to impress will see right through you. Better to just stay quiet and keep your ears open - and learn. Next - get on the Internet and join a Ducks Football forum. I'm sure there is at least one - maybe two - that have a wealth of information you could glean....just like PPOT. To answer your questions...some teams have great defenses and some do not. Even so, anything can happen. Look at Bama yesterday running up over 600 yards in offense when they are more highly regarded as a defensive power. And yes MM is right now the leading contender for the Heisman. And rightly so. he's good!

Hey Baz, are the U of F fans getting tired of Muschamp yet?

Right now - I would like to see some adjustments in QB position. As we all know - the team goes as the QB goes. We love Jeff Driskel but for whatever reason he doesn't seem to have the killer instinct necessary during the game. You know what I mean. I'd like to see freshman Treon Harris used when we play UT in 2 weeks. Whether we start Jeff and then use Treon later on if needed or we start Treon. Coach Muschamp seems to be very conservative so I'm not sure this will happen - but it sure does need to happen. Coach Muschamp will be here all season so I'm behind him for now - but we better get the QB situation squared away soon or he's gone for sure at end of season.

As an ND fan - mid season had promise but the last 2 games were heart breakers. I expect very little against USC - both 7-4 but at USC. Won't be pretty for the Irish

Anyone watch Western Kentucky vs Marshall yesterday?
67-66 OT game. About as much defense as an NBA game. Matt
