$40 a round ammo.

Only three were ever made. This was the lightest, the carbine version, weighing in at 50 lbs. It shoots a .95 caliber 2,400 grain bullet at 2,100 FPS using 240 grains of powder, which generates 25,400 ft/lbs of muzzle energy and 277 ft/lbs of recoil energy.

Making it a bolt action is kinda lame. More impressive would be a falling block or maybe a break action double.

Not sure if I'd rather have that or a 20mm...

might know where there is a few of these
Raufoss Mk 211 is a .50 caliber

The multipurpose name is based on the projectile having an armor-piercing (tungsten core), an explosive, and an incendiary component, thus making it capable of penetrating lightly armored targets and causing damage to personnel inside the target after penetration. It is a suitable round for engaging helicopters, aircraft and lightly armored vehicles, as well as unarmored vehicles, and it is capable of igniting jet fuel. The Mk 211 has about the same destructive power as a standard 20mm round against such targets.[4]

As cool as Anzio's stuff is, it's a bit...utilitarian-looking. Not to mention unwieldy. I mean, why not just use a punt gun?

A miss is as good as a mile, no matter what you're shooting.

If a guy is shooting $40/round ammunition, odds are that he doesn't practice very much (unless the military is buying the rounds).

The guys in the video looked like their practice wasn't going to extend to round #2.

That is a seriously cool thing...and it's also completely useless. Unless you're into the hang out and stroke your bros at the range because you've always been a tool and this is the "manly" thing to do when you're wife tosses you the minivan keys.

It's like having a 2' d___. Every guy would think it's the greatest thing, but in reality it would be cumbersome and basically useless for actually satisfying the other party.

Too much? I'm in a twisted mood this morning

Our Finnish neighbours used this "for real" quite a lot during WWII:

(and the ammo is quite cheap)

So your saying that something that is compact but extends is better?

Well, it depends on the geometry. Over/under would be pretty useful. Side-by-side, not so much.

Oh, sorry. I thought you said "2 d____s". Not "a 2' d___".

And since when did satisfying the other party become a priority?
