Ha ha. His receivers playing keep-away with the ball after 509. It was nice that even Kaepernick was smiling at all the celebration after the TD.

Niners don't look so hot. Manning is cementing his legacy as possibly the best ever.

Not a big NFL fan anymore, but I'd like to see Peyton win another SB. But then again I'd like to see Green Bay win another one. My dad lived for the Cleveland Browns, which makes rooting for the Broncos a sacrilege after "the drive," but times change, and my Browns don't. So go Broncos - for now.

I dont think 509 td's makes him the best ever, in fact far from it. Fact of the matter is the best of the best are judged by how many rings they have, and Peyton only has one. There is a long list of one and done Super Bowl winning qb's and while Peyton is above that group, when you talk about 2-3-4 Super Bowl wins, then you can start talking about the "best ever"

Teams win titles and not one player. Any mediocre QB can win a super bowl if he plays with the leagues best D and hands the ball off to a great RB. If number of rings was the be all end all then Terry Bradshaw would be considered 10X the QB Marino was. But educated fans realize that while Bradshaw sat on the bench the Steel Curtain was playing D and when he was in the game he had Franco Harris to hand the ball to. If you want to use titles won to judge the best of the best then save it for sports like tennis, boxing and golf. In those sports you don't spend half the game sitting on the bench when winning a title. Last edited by lukeh; 10-19-2014 at 07:39 PM.. | ||
