Well, without going into any detail and definitely without pictures, you can get the same effect by doing a squat in the shower with a handheld shower head.

Angle, perspective and control are the key aspect, I recall from my distant past that ladies have a number of folds, nooks and crannies in their nether parts that benefit from a gentle wash down/wash out.

Gentlemen can use it to clean their perineum without utilizing a finger, which preserves the finger's use for picking one's nose or whatever.

As I get older, I have come to the conclusion that, takin' a good dump is the most "under rated" pleasure one could have. But this .....this toilet thing has gone too far! Blow drier's ????? Now ..if you were to have an accident due to s#%t/fart separator failure and needed to do an extra good cleanup and rather than tracking up the shower...a bidet could save ya some time. I might consider one of those...someday.

that was what I was told, but I am sure there's just not enough water to flush the waste out of the pipes. they still do it today.

that was what I was told, but I am sure there's just not enough water to flush the waste out of the pipes so the trap is clogged. they still do it today.
