I'm glad I'm retired and don't have to be anywhere at a certain time. This allows me to fly my own plane. I may only cruise at 150 knots, but there is lno TSA, no having to arrive early, no lines. Just drive up to the hangar, preflight, put car in hangar and go. I actually enjoy it.

				 | Here is my hangar and four seater. Just buy your own and skip much of the hassle.

This is the right way to do it. Considering renting a plane and flying myself to Key West for some R&R later this year. I don't like driving in or through FL (too many a-holes and too many cops) and I don't want to deal with flying commercially, plus it helps keep me current. Besides, who needs a car in KW? It's a liability more than anything else.

I used too work for South Pacific Island Airways in American Samoa. We flew Cesna 402's. I think they were 9 seaters. We had to seat those Samoans very carefully. Like right over the wings! Even the Samoan women could affect the balance.

My corporate pilot buddy has a 1974 V-Bone and it's a sweet machine. One flight and I understood why airline captains--40 years ago--had Bonanzas.
