No way, no way. Although my son had a girl over for the night. After they were married.
|
If there's still any doubt in your mind that this is the right thing to do have her give you a no hanky panky pinky promise. Done.
Party on! |
Father of a 15 year old girl.......................NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! !!!!!
|
When I was 14 the very last thing on my mind was going to a sleep over with two girls. Come to think of it, it may have been the first thing on my mind, too. What could possibly go wrong? Have a heart.
|
I ran this past my wife. She is like aschen - compromise. She said, "Do they have a family room? Tell them they can all sleep in the family room (with frequent visits from parental units with snacks, pillows, etc). She's brilliant - they can have the sleepover but they'll hate every minute.
|
I get the feeling me and about a million other tiny little crobobs are swimming against the current here. Compromise it is. Tell your daughter you have no probem with the sleepover BUT you get to choose the guest list, the band, the menu and the flower arrangements. As a kicker, tell her she can choose the church. Negotiation, my friend. Negotiation.

OK, OK. I was just over at the legs/butt thread and it got me thinkin'. Tell this Bruce guy, or whatever his name is, you need to talk. Ask him point blank. How many stars would he rank that thread? If he gives it a four or less, you're golden. If he gives it a five compromise kicks in. And be tough! He needs you more than you need him. Don't let him get the upper hand, either.

does the gay boyfriend have parents?
a quick talk with them might be informative. |
I am the father of 15 year old girl and vote with the no crowd. He's gay.....nice try. It's really about setting and maintaining standards for the kids. Hold you ground here and you head off boundary pushing situations later.
|
Give the kid a gay test. Ask him if he's torn up about Zayne leaving One Direction ...
|
C'mon you guys this is 2015 arreddy. You ack like you want this girl to finish high school, maybe go on to college and be successful. That's one heckuva attitude.
Don't listen to 'em, OP. One little coed sleepover with your complete support will not derail your daughter. She'll think you're the bees knees for it, too. |
14 is too young. I remember my daughter wanted to stay for a sleepover at her boyfriend's place(his dad's house). I think she was 17 or 18 at that time. I said no and the father said yes. So I asked myself what do I do - go and break down their door and rescue her? So I let it go . Meanwhile 10 years later she is getting married this year to the same boy/man.
I would say to your daughter girls only. After all it is your house. You lay down the rules. A tough age for you to deal with. Guy |
Thanks for all the input gentlemen!

The age of 14 is too old for male/female sleepovers. I vote no. If they can reproduce they will. Accidents happen. I remember like it was last night that I tripped and fell into a vagina .............
