Bone Tomahawk
Perhaps one most disturbing films I have seen in ....ever. With any horror flick I rationalize that while many scenes are silly, the possibility of certain things are very remote if not impossible. I kept telling myself that there is no way people would do this, but sadly I thought of all the horrible things people have done and figured that it was possible and most likely probable in a certain setting.
If you have a strong stomach, try this film. Keep in mind, there will be scenes that will not be able to be purged and you will find yourself thinking about them. My takeaway was that at least in my world stuff like this doesn't happen...yet.

I loved that pic. sorta comedy at the beginning, great period language etc then it gets hellish.

no way i get my wife to see that. the "movie payback" i would owe her, (think of the worst chick flick like , THE DANISH GIRL) wouldnt be worth it. the trailer looks crazy!

I just watched the trailer. It looks completely ridiculous but considering human history not that far fetched IMO.
I'm not sure I want to see it though. I tend to stay away from such movies.

I saw it tonight on regular TV. They must have cut most of the gore out although it was still brutal. A very well made movie.
The pregnant women had sticks buried in their eye sockets & amputated limbs. Looked like they served only one purpose. Was it far fetched? Actually no. We as a species have a brutal history. We can only guess what early man got up to.

I did see it. It was on HBO or maybe Amazon movies. I did not rent it.
It is a weird and strange movie. For sure violent, especially the tribe of whatever those "people" were. I often wonder what sort twisted mind dreams those plots up. For sure I have seen worse movies.
