We Toronto tonight and apparently they're hoping to lose in order to get a better draft position. The Leafs have missed the playoffs 10 of the last 11 years(?)
I think. While the Devils have lost the last four years. Maybe I'll go to a movie instead. |
Well, I need to amend the title to No Canadians OR BRUINS. :(
I have a feeling that Julian is toast and Marchand will be playing somewhere else next year. |
That is the hockey gods getting even with you for starting a thread with that title!
They (the hockey gods) are from Canada after all. Not only did Bruins lose when the playoff season was on the line. They lost big... I hope we see Marchand playing in Europe next year! ;) |

I can think of a few guys facing buy-outs or forced & premature retirements who'll be plying their trade/talents in Europe next year. It seems the so-called youth movement is first & foremost in the plans of the teams which failed to make the cut this year. There are a few interesting storylines in a couple of series - Hawks/Blues eg.

Too funny. Actually, the video is pretty accurate since the Canadian teams all "went to the dogs" this year.
|
At least you can be proud that the big bad Bruins were not leading the race to the bottom!
The Bs had a shot at the playoffs unlike most of the Canadian teams that were statistically eliminated from the playoffs at the end of January.... Still I guess they (Boston) have a remote shot of winning the draft lottery! How is that for excitement! |
|
I think you guys with teams still in it need to pay me not to cheer for your team....
Every team I like loses! Cash or major credit cards accepted. No guarantees expressed or implied. Right now I am on the Hawks bandwagon but I can be bought. |
Hey Flat
Do you think maybe your man 'Ovie' might be booking some early tee times?? Cheers JB |

Who will be next? I figured the Flyers would have been long gone but maybe the Ovi playoff curse will continue? |
"Caps in the east - Kings in the west - Kings in 6." Prognostication has never been my strong suit. Well, at least the Caps are still alive(?).
Hawks & Blues tonight - should be a good home game for Hawks fans - especially now Kane seems to have awoken from his slumber. Cheers JB |

I'm wondering if losing the last two has rekindled some bad memories for Ovi and the boys. I still think they'll make the 2nd round but not sure past that. |
The Rags really shat the bed, 11 goals in two games!

I can't speak for any of you who may be Hawks fans on how you may have felt last evening, but it started to look more than a bit bleak for us & the boys at the end of the first period. Their comeback has become a team trademark of sorts. This obviously (& hopefully) sets the stage for one helluva game in St. Lou. on Mon. I think I'll alter my schedule for this one. Go Hawks! I just hope the Canadian network play-by-play broadcasters aren't those two semi-functional literates we seem to have foisted upon us far too often. Enjoy the game Gents.
