What would grandma's computer password be... hint: "to golf"
Bought an all in one dell computer at a garage/estate sale. Pretty sure the seller thought it was just a monitor. Got it home and found that it's password protected. The hint is "to golf."
I've tried: swing, putt, putter teeup, drive, driver What else would you try?

You'll want to wipe the hard drive anyway... no telling what may be lurking in there.
If you *really* need to get in there - ie, it was your grandma and her will is on there, family pics, etc. you can reset the password using the NTPasswd disk - NTPasswd — Reset Windows Administrator Password |

The key is "To" as in "To Golf". My guess is it's a street name on the way to her golf club.

I do not have a guess to add but it amazes me that anyone would sell a computer at a garage sale or anywhere else without removing the hard drive. In this age of identity theft I would never leave even the slightest chance of someone accessing my personal info for a few bucks. I bet when you do get in there is tons of personal info on there.
