It says the sensor is "German" which means the rest of the watch is probably from Ningbo.

I'd guess that watch is <1% German content. Figure a "sensor" costs 10c and the watch maybe costs $30 to make, package, ship.

Ningbo trivia: During World War II in 1940, Japan bombed Ningbo with ceramic bombs full of fleas carrying the bubonic plague.

Hi guys! Now, I wear a Vostok Amphibia on my hand, great watch and of very high quality. I really like these watches, I think it's a real tough men's type. Especially, if they are with a metal strap, they have a cool look, very nice. I always order Vostok watches for me from https://vostokamphibia.com store. The prices ther are reasonable, there is a great range of models. It is not the first time I order from there. I recommend!

Found a tough, cheap watch. Described as 'casual' wear.

What's the deal with the big "cage" over the left side of the case? Is there a small mouse is there that keeps the thing wound or something? It looks like you could smack someone around with that thing.

That would be a good look for you Denis ...
![]() Seriously though, this Casio Duro is a really highly-rated watch for $45. Casio (makers of G-Shock) so it's a known manufacturer, screw-down crown, mineral crystal, 1-way rotating bezel, simple classic design. 4.5 stars with 2,000+ ratings. Great daily beater. |

If willing to spend s bit more, this company has a nice selection of automatic dive watches, some as low as $250 range. Check out www.deepbluewatches.com

I remember those commercials
And I think that watch was their Marlin which was re-issued recently. To their credit, Timex kept it the same size (tiny by today's "wrist clock" standards) and true to the original. |

That looks like my Seiko SKX007 watch but 1/4 the price.

Tough to beat a Seiko automatic diver. The Casio is quartz of course. But for cheap watches, way better to have quartz than a cheapo mechanical movement with a high likelihood of breaking. The Casio is extremely impressive-looking at a throw-away price.
