Fixing a radon problem

anyone have high radon levels in your house? Finished basement so we really cant go back and seal the concrete. How do the vent systems work where you draw a vacuum under the slab work? Any good ideas? Levels are twice the high rate:

My wife had to have one of these negative pressure systems installed when she bought her house using FHA. It seems to work. Subsequent tests always showed levels in the basement below the limit.

I should add that her house had water intrusion through the basement walls (walls are not airtight) and a sump that is not sealed. The system still kept the radon levels under the maximum.

Our house (bought 4 years ago) has a system installed from the previous owners/builders.
Draws air from 1 pipe under the 3 car garage slab via basement wall access, and another pipe under the basement slab itself. It runs 24 hrs/day - 365 days a year. Each vented area is backfilled with gravel to allow "air" space.

Easy to reduce crazy high levels, hard to reduce low levels.

What is your level?
