This is "Splotch Face" she is a neighborhood cat that comes and goes all the time very nice kitty nobody really knows whos cat she is but maybe has many owners. The other cat we think nobody owns but were not sure. It is a dark gray cat that only shows up to eat in the evening and it is super chicken but it is warming up to us a little bit but we have not been able to get anywhere near it yet.

My wife just came home with these four:

Three females and a male, all 4 weeks old. The one in the foreground (6 o'clock) is Doja, at 9 o'clock is Drake (the male), at noon is Nicki, and at 3 o'clock is Cardi.

I'm doomed.

I see a “foster fail” aka a win in your future

The official CAT thread

Took Pip to the vet for a certificate of health and vaccine docs in case she flys home with me.

Update:
Our youngest who lives close to Suprise, AZ has indicated they are interested in adopting g Pip. They need to check with the owner of the home they are renting and see if she is comparable with the kids. The Vet even said that Pip would be ideal for a young household since she is so laid back and accepting.

I fly home tomorrow but Mrs Bugs is sticking around till the end of the month. If need be, I’ll be making a roadtrip to bring her home on days off….

I/we are such suckers

When I rescued KitKat last November, guys at work had some fun and posted this in our picture board. I honestly got a good laugh out of it.

It's a good thing I don't live closer. I love tabby and whites, and Doja is adorable.

I fostered a couple of kittens for the weekend. Umm, that was five years ago and they are still here LOL

Sigh.

I'm trying to not get too attached, not sure I'm strong enough. I really don't want to be a six-cat household. But no way I'd want to split up this litter.

Must. Be. Strong.

Damn they are cute! My daughter has fostered several pups, older dogs and a few cats, for the rescue she got her dog through. I honestly don't know how she does it. She's a bad ass.

Back to cats. My limited experience has been that they do well in pairs. Maybe try and adopt them out that way? I originally got my long haired cat Tilly in a pair with one of her brothers when they were 6 months. He sadly passed at about 6 years old from leukemia. We then adopted the ginger Oliver. My older girl, she's now 14, took to him quickly and they get along really well.

Seems impossible just based on the pictures. Add purrs and mews and you're sunk. Enjoy!

Just remember that in nature most cats are solitary hunters. That's what their genes want to say regardless of how we see them. As long as they have a purpose, being alone is fine with them.

So I flew home from AZ while Mrs Bugs is staying for another few weeks. It honestly was hard to leave Pip. I know Mrs Bugs was heading over to our youngest’s house to see how she would “fit” with the kids. We got her a carrier for our trip to the vet. The surprising thing is that she likes it and considers it her “safe space” which I think was awesome.

We also ran through Starbucks to get her a pup-cup, which was a major hit. Then she fell asleep in my lap all the way to the airport.

She then fell asleep on Mrs Bugs lap heading to the kids.
And in her safe space at their place at the kids house.

Hope it all works out but I’m willing to pull a road trip if it doesn’t.

They always seem to know who to go to when they need a little extra help.

Our lil girl is a perfect fit for her new family. I’m still primed to get her if their circumstances change, but I doubt it will happen if it continues at this current rate. She will have all the Hoomans eating out of her lil tow bean paw in no time……. Ask me how I know.

Well, I came home today and Black &White kitty was laying in front of the door. He didn't look to good and when I put their food down, he got up and touch it and laid back down. I checked back on him a little bit later, and he hadn't moved, so I picked him up, gently and carried him inside and put him on my hap, where he has stayed all night. I offered him some soft food, but he didn't eat it. Even when I get up, , he climbs back in my chair and lap.

He is still in my lap as I post this.

I got a text from a good friend of mine last Friday, her dad just had a stroke, so she is going back to China for 2-3 weeks... Can I take care of her cat.. So on Saturday I collected the cat and brought her to my place... The cat had been hiding since then, then last night she jumped up on the bed while I was asleep and woke me...

Took 3 days to feel comfortable..

Well, Black &White kitty is doing better. The next morning from when I posted, he went to the door to go out, did his businesses and left. I picked him up, but he didn't sound happy, and when I put him back on the ground, he took off again.

But he did come back that evening, and once again, slept on me.

And the next morning, he took off again. And once again, last night, he was waiting at the door, but this time, I was on my way to meet a friend, but, when I returned, a few hours later, he was still at the door. So I opened the door, and in he went, I sat down and on my lap he came. And when I went to bed, once again, he slept on me. But today, he looks much better, I put some food and water down and he came over and ate a little bit and drank some water, but today, instead of heading to the door, he got right back on my lap.

Adoption Time

About a month ago the wife decided we were going to foster kittens:

Well, the time has come. They're being returned to the adoption shelter this Friday where they'll get snipped & chipped then put up for adoption. I'm sure they'll go fast. If anyone here is in the Las Vegas area and is serious about giving one (or more!) of these darlings a new home please PM me for details. Anyone the foster parents recommend go to the front of the line, otherwise the shelter is first-come.
