There s a family of cats that lives in the yard of the job I'm currently on... Harlem 1St Ave and 125Th St..Paradise!!

Anyway I'm feeding and giving water to these cuties.. Momma is super friendly, the kittens are learning to be 100% feral..The mom will come and sit with me and let me give a scratch or two.

Always on the lookout..

Momma

nom nom nom nom nom

Most of the time when I'm walking to or from the trailer, Momma comes out to say hi.. She does do the wind around my ankles thing.. so I know she is secretly planning my demise..

She is cool.. I try to do my part

After not finding her in the basement part that was open to her, I heard a fainted meow from the workshop (the door was closed).

I guess she use the "Air Duct Express" and then she got into a dead end...

Not sure how long she was there but she was scared (puffy tail).

Any you guys/gals worry about owls? My cat is in indoor car but I tie him out on the back deck to hang out. He absolutely loves it. Anyway, the other night I could hear a couple owls hooting so I googled "do owls kill cats". A big yes was the answer. They basically come out of no where and club them with their claws. Over in a blink. I have to sit out with him now which is fine. Anyone know if it's common.

I think they probably can, but you'de need some very very big owls to take on a full grown house cat without risk to the owl.

In the wild. Predators generally won't attack if the ROI isn't good
Why go for risky cat when there are safer rodents a plenty?

We have Ohoe's here, pretty big, 6 feet wingspan.. but they weight less then an average house cat.
They can't snatch and grab a fully grown cat , to much weight to fly off.. And they would have way to much risk trying to kill a cat on the ground.

Couple things:
1). Cats can have 'whisker sensitivity' when feeding. A plate or larger bowl is better than a small one.

2). Teeth can self-dissolve on older ones.
