Doesn't having "Mr. President" glasses floating around in public defeat the purpose of using it in the first place?

Suppose your friend or who knows how many other people out there wanna make the old switch-a-roo at his next appearance?

I asked her about Pres Obama visiting on Monday. The whole theater was swept of course for bombs, weapons, etc. They also removed all traces of food and drink. All drinks, snacks, food, plates, glasses and flatware were flown in from the White House, I thought that was interesting.

As the last of the Secret Service agents were leaving my friend noticed a cut crystal water glass with the Presidential seal engraved on it and "Mr. President" etched in the glass. She told the agent about it and he said "Keep it, it's a great souvenir". I thought that was cool.

Im a little bit famous. I have a small following on utube and a minibike site and iv had a number of people recognize my stuff at car shows. Its really cool. Great way to make freinds because they are truely intrested in what you do. But yeah I wouldnt want to be celebrity famous. Too many negatives come with it. The beauty of utube is you can control how famous you want to be

^^ This!!

At one time I wanted to be famous. The closer I got to those who were the uglier it seemed. I think living with continuous attention from adoring fans every day, everywhere you go ruins most people for a very long time.

Living in LA I have spent time with fairly famous musicians including Alex Van Halen, Oz Fox, and Robben Ford. These guys still love making music but would gladly trade fame for anonymity any day. Kiss had the right idea. Make music with crazy makeup on and then wash it off and head to the beach for a nice day unfettered by strangers.

As a child, did you ever play "top of the hill" on a snow pile?
Yeah. That guy on top better watch out for himself.

No thanks.

No interest in being a celebrity or famous. I'd love to try being incredibly wealthy. They say it just causes trouble, but I'd be willing to test that theory.

I guess if I had to chose a celebrity type career/job to be famous for, maybe comedian. Bringing joy/happiness laughter to people seems like a good thing, and probably not as stressful as being a Dr which would also be great, but probably have downsides.

Being a great thinker or scientist would also be nice, or maybe someone like Gates or Jobs.

I would like to be famous for inventing the transporter. Yeah, you know, that one on Star Trek. Or maybe transparent aluminum.

I was on an airline flight a famous baseball player was on. They let him board 1st, before 1st Class or handicapped. He chose the very 1st aisle seat by the entrance. Everyone want an autograph.

My friend sez something like: "Bet he really hates that and it gets really old"......I say, if he hates it that much, why didn't he sit in the back out of sight of everyone? Some enjoy the limelight, not for me.

I was at the Daytona 24 Hours one year and was wearing a hat I had made with "URY914" on it. The guy was a member here and he recognized me. So I'm famous!

I was getting off an airplane and some fat guy was partially blocking the doorway.
I looked up and it was David Crosby or his duplicate.

My eyes widened, my hand raised to point, and my mouth gaped to speak the next words.
The man only scowled.
His eyes glared "don't you dare ask that question!"
I put my head down and walked past.

I dunno, I said no to the opportunities that could of ended up that way.

Probably voice acting would be what I would prefer to the famous for - that way I could go about without people knowing what I look like, or really sound like.

Me, I think I'd most like to be famous for being a great guitarist. I play guitar, but not very well. It would be fun to rock out on stage in front of adoring fans.
Sooo, what would your line up be if you were famous enough to choose from anyone?

Umm. What's a line up? (That's how far I am from being a famous musician.)

The great world with no economic borders is fragmenting and protectionism is on the rise. The American people had a trade off forgo the cheap prices of Wally World and keep your job or buy cheap Chiese krap and be out of work and in debt because they gave you credit card to keep on buying. Now the credit card is maxxed with no job. Say hello to being homeless and in the soup line. That goes for everyone
