Where I work the elevator gives most people access to one floor above ground level but if you have the key it can take you 8 stories down.

No elevators for home or work for me. The last elevator I was in on was in downtown OKC and it is an express from ground floor to 50th floor to the restaurant. My ears popped from the pressure change. Great view from up there.

1-2 stories I take the stairs all the time, under 10 stories I take the stairs most of the time.
