I'll start off with this article: Benefits of Unsweetened Cocoa Powder I had lunch with a buddy today and he mentioned Cocoa Powder as beneficial for the joints, but in reading this article it looks like it has quite a few other significant benefits. Quote:

Feel free to post anything you have run across that might be useful!

Whether or not you will benefit the same way as from another form of Cocoa Powder - I don't know.

At some point later in the morning will have an apple and an orange. Same thing in the afternoon. Also plan to get a daily bike ride on the beach in, weather permitting. Made chicken soup yesterday....soup always provides good sustenance this time of year..... ========== Interested in hearing what others are doing to provide healthy living and lifestyle?

The claim is there is something in chicken broth that help the white blood cells go to where they need in your body. When you achy with a cold or flu is it the white blood cells just circulating everywhere. So it makes you feel a lot better.

Unless there is a compelling reason not to, take a baby aspirin before travelling and wear the support stockings.

Health? No time for it now. Except for a microwave oven we have no cooking facilities in our new house and no kitchen sink. The dishes are all still packed away.

We do have a working refrigerator and coffee maker! I had a deli ham sandwich, potato chips, and coffee for breakfast this morning. And yesterday morning, and the morning before that. Dinner yesterday was a Marie Calendar pot pie, no lunch.

Yes, the 81 mg. aspirin is supposed to thin the blood somewhat and reduce the probability of heart problems. My doc recommended it a long time ago. I also read some years ago long term (15 yrs. +) use of aspirin somewhat reduces the possibility of colon cancer. Whether true or not, that interested me since my father died from it.

Tobra...interesting recommendation on the support stockings (even if you think you don't need them)...especially coming from you with your credentials. Can you elaborate a little on the why/benefit, and maybe make a recommendation on a comfortable pair for the average joe (who doesn't think he needs them)? Thanks! JA

Keep the children coming. Always have at least one child in the age of 2-5 years. That will keep you going and feeling young. Both physically and mentally. Dear God. I am so tired.

I had a dermatologist appointment this morning. I go every 6 months. This time I told them about the tender spot on the scalp sorta above my ear. Hurts like **** when the barber hits it with the trimmer. Skin is very thin here.

Of course they need to remove it and do a biopsy of it. So she sticks me with the needle to numb it up. HOLY CHRIST THAT HURTS!!! ![]() ![]() I have NEVER been in so much pain. I got dizzy and nearly passed out. The needle was in for about 30 seconds and it was an 13.5 on the pain meter. ![]() ![]() I had to lay back and put my knees up. It's been about 2 hours now and the numbness is wearing off and it's starting to hurt again. I may go home.
