Sorry I don't get the hambone hate. Not like he's ever pulled a multi 21 or failed to attend his teammate's goodbye party or cussed out Charlie Whiting publicly etc.

You may not like like his style but he's ten times the sportsman Vettel is. And better driver IMO.

Kimi should have won this race.

I'm certainly not saying Vettel is a saint. And agree that Kimi should have won. However, how does he win? Team orders? I guess so since they claim that they can't pass.

For me the Hammy thing is him trying to come off like he is always in the right when he clearly is not. Spa, "Nico intentionally cut my tire", final race of 2016 backing up the pack, Austria 2016 but he did the same thing in Austin to Nico, three times this year trying to get Bottas to back up or switch places to interfere with the outcome. Then there are all the times where he is on the radio questioning strategy or blaming the team for something.

He is a great driver. He just comes off like a douche trying to pretend he is not doing shady things.

And I did not know about the teammate's party (Seb). That is a crappy thing to do.

Nico Hulkenberg's war of words with Kevin Magnussen has continued following their clash in the paddock at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

After Magnussen forced Hulkenberg off the track when fighting for P11 in Sunday's race, the latter confronted the Haas driver during an interview to sarcastically tell him he did a "good job".

Magnussen's response to the Renault driver was to "suck my balls". and now Hulkenberg has hit back in Formula 1's latest fierce rivalry.

"I wish there were as many people talking about the race,” Hulkenberg said in his exclusive column for German station Sport1.

“At the moment we have different challenges in Formula 1 than the balls of a wannabe Verstappen.

“I'm not the kind of guy to curry favour with the public after the race, and I don't need to insult someone. If I have a problem with somebody, I go ahead and say what's on my mind.

“But the fans are happy about seeing a sport in which competition is being lived and somebody is speaking his mind. This is the fun thing about F1, especially with hot-headed sensitive people.

“With Kevin it's like having a little brother. You know he is not able to defend himself in any other way. Therefore, it's easy to take his remarks with a smile on your face."

Robert Kubica ran over 100 laps today in testing for Renault. His times were fast and incredibly consistent.

I hope Renault can dump Palmer sooner rather than later so Robert can get back to racing in F1.

With Sauber nixing their deal with Honda for 2018 engines, I think that McLaren will be put in a bind. Toro Rosso may now get Honda power units for 2018. I think Honda needs more input from a few teams to get better. Mercedes and Ferrari seems to have no interest in supplying power units for McLaren in 2018. A McLaren chassis with Mercedes power would probably beat the factory Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team regularly.

Alonso's choices for 2018 seem narrowed to staying with McLaren and maybe going to Renault. Kubica is the other choice for Renault and would be cheaper. But Alonso would push and develop the Renault like no other driver in the field. IndyCar for Alonso would be a massive pay cut but may just be what he needs. The fans in America seemed to really enjoy having him on the grid.

I'm wondering why kubica got ultra-softs and no one else did.

Factor that in and his 4th fastest time doesn't look as good.

Take that back, evidently the young Lando Calrissian Norris got to use ultrasofts too.

Kubica demonstrated that he has lost none of his ability as he finished the day fourth fastest with a 1:18.572, set on the ultrasoft Pirellis.

Lando Norris impressed for McLaren as he finished second quickest, half a second behind Vettel, on his debut run in the MCL32.

Honda were wowed by his time when compared to the McLaren drivers, Fernando Alonso and Stoffel Vandoorne, in qualifying for the Hungarian GP.

It must be noted, though, that the 17-year-old used a set of the ultrasofts to clock his time which were not available to Alonso – or any driver – during the Hungarian GP weekend.

Read similar stuff... Torro rosso to get Honda instead of McLaren. If it becomes good, Red Bull would leave Renault and join with Honda... TR switch frees up a renault supply for McLaren and therefore Alo would stay..

Sauber is back with current Ferrari engines and could become the junior team. They'd put in Charles Leclerc in there, an impressive up and comer... Werhlein would move to Force india, and Ocon possibly to Renault.

Brabham is in talks with Bernie to buy and rename Force india, whose owner needs the $... would be a cool name to have back...

Ferrari seems Ok keeping Kimi (meh)..
