PPOT gift exchange 2017?

It is getting fairly late but just wondering if there is going to be a gift exchange this year?

I would participate but it seems like the love is gone.

Pity, that.

I don't feel the love is gone. I just feel there is more uncertainty with the possible change of ownership. As mentioned it is late for cross border shipping.

I ran it the last two years and realized last week I hadn't posted anything. Last year participation definitely dropped off from the previous year so I didn't put up a thread on it for this year.

I ran it for the two years before you so likely it is somebody else's turn anyway. If somebody feels strongly about doing it then that person will step up to the plate.
I do have the old addresses so I can get rid of a Justin Bieber CD!

Not worth it this year, IMO. I have a feeling there'd be too many lumps of coal and Liberal Tears MAGA mugs shipped.

The funniest year for me, was the year I took care of the address list. It was a good time. I never participated after that. I peaked.

I had peaks and valleys. The latter was when a couple of individuals asked for special requests after I had my flow chart established. The worst was when an individual never sent a gift but would receive them. Two years in a row a couple of members never got anything. But overall it was a fun experience.

I have the coolest gift for someone with kids...if we don't do the exchange I'll find someone here and send it to them.

I like that.

Pick a pelican and send them a gift. No quid pro quo, just a random act.

To those who want to take part in the Gift Exchange but don't want to run it. My mother used to have a plaque on her wall that said:

If not me then who
And if not now then when

No pressure!

I wish I could post this in a way that he couldn't see it...

Instead of sending each other gifts, why not send them all to Gary? Or maybe we could pool our resources and get his family something that will make what will likely be their last Christmas with their daughter more memorable.

What are your thoughts?
