7°F this morning here in central South Carolina. Too cold for the Deep South, as evidenced by the county water supply being frozen, so my plant can't run until it thaws out.

Has not been above Zero for a week+ here either.
Central Wisconsin. Not even “up north” as we would say.

I’m getting a little sick of suiting up like sir Edmund Hillary to take the dog out for the less than 10 minutes it takes him to look at me like I’m an idiot (I am) for being out there to begin with.

Of course, being off for 10 days straight during this mess really helps.

Thank goodness for our health and sanity.
I just listened to one of my co-workers rant for 10 min about his holiday with the in laws. 20 people in a 900 sqft house for a couple of days. Cats. He said there were cats. Lots of em. And about 4 dogs. And a couple birds. The in laws are hoarders apparently.

I guess 10 below and in my own home is sounding ok already.

The older I get, the more winter sucks. This weather does nothing to help that opinion.

No, you really don't
And again
No, you really don't. Just trust me on this one.

If you really want to know what it's like, just go somewhere with a walk in freezer. Then imagine it 11 degrees colder if they have it set at zero. If you really want to get a feel for it, stick your head up by the fans on the evaporator.

Dayton is like a Sauna!
It's Zero here now and 11 in Dayton. Practically shorts and Tshirt weather!
It's supposed to be warmer by the weekend. Not sure I have ever wanted a week to pass by faster in my lifetime.

^nothing

I may hose it off when it warms up above freezing, or I may not. I bought this bike as a commuter vehicle (KTM Duke). I plan on it being ugly and dirty...haven't cleaned it once yet

The creek usually freezes, when it does, mid-late Jan until maybe mid-late feb. I saw the weather forecast but figured I had some time to put the bubbler out. Creek froze last friday. The woodstove is running just about flat out and its almost keeping up. Come on spring!
