It's supposed to get up to 33º tomorrow, so that it will lay down a layer of ice over everything (with rain and sleet) before returning back to snow. Awesome.

Too cold to even play outside with the Unimogs! The last 48 hours had temps around zero degrees F. with 30 mph winds giving a wind chill of -30º F. So have to stay inside and throw wood into the fire.

Off topic but here's another Mog to keep the others company, Von. There are three or four of these for sale around here:

Went to see a funk band last night in Manhattan. Digital readout on one business I passed at 2:30am said it was -6.

This came up a couple years ago with my wife, changing the plates on the Cobra replica to "Hobbyist" plates.

DMV: You know with those plates you can't drive in January without paying an extra fee.

Wife: I can't imagine anyone would WANT to drive it in January in Wisconsin.

Sure, lets drive a car with no real heater and no top and no windows when the wind chill is -35* before you start driving.

It is above freezing today. For now. Rain and snow later this week and then down to 7*. Great.

So the heavy snow, followed by two weeks of subzero temperatures, followed by a sudden warmup and sleet, apparently formed an ice dam over my bay window. I scrapped the snow/ice off when it started coming through the ceiling, but it still took a few more hours to work its way through. The roofer comes tomorrow.

Shooda had the GF make sammiches and shovel, Chris.

See the dude in Crowbob's pic Chris. He has a roof rake. Prevention is cheaper than repair. If I were your neighbor I would have done it for you or showed you how to do it. :)

That aint no dude, dude!

I could have proved it but she balked at bikini-raking for some reason and I didn't push it outta respect!

I'd be more impressed if she was making sammiches while mowing the lawn.

Crowbob 01-08-2018 06:22 PM

These are some of the sandwiches. I helped a little with these by manning the grill and making sure the mowing lines are straight on the lawn so it's not like she waits on me hand and foot. Mine's in front (double cheese no mustard):

I do have pics somewhere (video, even) of her washing the car after making sandwiches and doing the dishes after making sandwiches.

I'm starting to think you might like sandwiches.
