Guy walking in woods rambling.
[skip forward to 6:05]
"Men are born to fail. It's the point of us really.
Men are really variable.
See you have two sexes and you make one lot very likely to survive"

Oh hey, I am worth nothing. That sure sounds like equality.

I think men have it much easier than women when it comes to going it alone. I have no hesitation in travelling alone but women not so much as they are more vulnerable.

I see in our condo building the number of single older women. Likely no prospects of men in their lives and maybe not looking anymore coz they had a good marriage already.

Life is for living but not everybody subscribes to that as they just exist whether male or female. Motion has the right idea. Just do it.....

It truly is not about the nail ! They just want us to feel their pain, not fix it.

One of my good friends is single over 50, is in pretty decent shape, has all his teeth and owns a nice house. He is bald, and he even shaves what little hair grows out of his head. He says going to a nice high end restaurant - bar he will have a woman flirting with him in no time. He even said back in high school all the hot chicks had guys chasing them, now it has reversed. The supply of decent guys that have a job and a house and a car and family and can fix a simple household issue and have a normal conversation is very low. Women are all chasing the few single guys in that class.
He has been married twice. He says that is his limit. He is on a catch and release program now.

a very attractive early 50's client of mine told me one of her friends had just filtered through 14 men in one year to find the one that had 'enough money to keep her happy'.

be careful out there!

Thanks for the advice but I think most reasonably intelligent men can see women like that for what they are.

I hear this all the time from my single lady friends and there are a lot of them 45+ who are looking for a "decent man" Maybe by 50 the pool of men shrinks due to attrition or some men just bail on the idea of long term female company and settle for a life of Bourbon and Netflix.

My buddy like female companionship and remains friends with more former girlfriends than I thought possible. He is on great terms with his second wife and still plays the role of designate arsehole for dealing with business like a car dealer when she is shopping for a new car.

I've been happily married for 30 years this Summer, and certainly don't wish ill will upon my wife, but should something happen to her, I would stay single. I have enough funds to retire at 52, with no debt, so I would probably do some traveling around our country, taking my time to experience different areas.

I think by the age of 50, most men have had enough of the relationship drama, and find that the available women out there are half crazy with desperation. I am no social butterfly, so being alone doesn't scare me like it does for most women.

I can make some killer sandwiches, and love me some good soup to go with it. My wife, and are both very independent, and know for a fact that we don't need each other to survive, but choose to need each other.
