Taking the BigA$$ RV from Los Angeles to PA left today

I forgot to take a photo of my 911 when I was there. Yea, it is not a bad hovel. [emoji6]

You two must be the two nicest friendliest members of Pelican.

Thanks for bringing the great weather with you! Hope you like MD.

Donna and I have had a wonderful time at Seahawks place. Excellent company. More pics tomorrow.

Paul’s Place is a little slice of heaven, and you won’t find nicer hosts.

Crowbob 05-26-2018 06:25 AM

Paul is the real deal.

For reference, it appears the Gallipoli was not a mid-air after all, but there are others.

We overstayed our welcome, 4 nights. Paul, his wife, Mrs Seahawk, and their son are fantastic. Their Son is a true gentleman and sharp as a tack and a recent VMI graduate.

RVing on the edge of the Potomac, feeding us, taking Paul out to brunch, was all great. Our dog, bogie, with his butt to the camera, didn’t want to leave.

We are now in Charlottesville, VA about 12miles from Monticello, which we will visit tomorrow.

My RV is literally 50’ from the water.

More pics to follow.

That looks just heavenly....beautiful spot you've got there sir!

Seahawk, I may just take you up on your offer! I'm planning on doing that retirement RV thingy in about 2 or 3 years at which point I'd like to cross Canada to see Yellowperil's beautiful province of PEI...I haven't been there since 1976 but....I'm sure it hasn't changed much..lol!

I'd then like to travel south along the US seaboard and maybe, just maybe do a side trip to see the grand Potomac up close and park exactly where Hugh R is parked.........now to convince the wife :confused:??? HOW DO I DO THAT???

Safe travels Hugh!

If you can't talk your wife into going perhaps you might might find a fellow pelican member to accompany you. That might encourage your wife to go with you. :)

I know, right? The only thing I can figure out is that he is hung like a water buffalo

tevake 05-29-2018 06:27 PM

That looks like a heck of a river to row your army across.

Nice seeing a pelican meet up like that Hugh and Paul.
Neat place you have there Paul!

Hugh, how far south are you heading?
I'm here in the panhandle till June 13, if you are coming this far south, stop in here.

Fun to get on the road again.

Cheers Richard

Natural Bridge State Park, Lexington, VA. Once owned by Thomas Jefferson, he bought it from the Crown for 20 shillings, about $167 in todays dollars. Privately owned until 18 months ago, then donated to the State of VA. State Hwy 11 runs across the top of it.

Also drove through VMI from which Seahawk’s Son graduated. Beautiful place.

Currently near Huntington, WV. Lots of rain, but drying up now.SmileWavy

Hugh R 05-30-2018 04:19 PM

Richard, no not heading that far South, heading to St. Louis next few days.
