haha..i am on HOLD with the USPS.

super funny. the guy i sent something to, got all dyslexic on me and messed up his address. while i am thrilled it wasn't my mistake..i am doing all i can to get the PO to hold it there at the office.

i might be mistaken, but some computer voice just said my expected wait time is 50 minutes. i hope i misheard 15 minutes..edit..just heard it again..yup FIFTY minutes. hahaha..the elevator music is the worst. it's like the soundtrack for some Jane Austin movie.

if any of you all are on hold with the PO, do me a solid and hang up

Last time I called them the expected wait time was 16 hours, not kidding. 3 months to “locate a package” which was insured. Couldn’t find it... ...declared it not their fault. No payment,

Years ago I was on hold with the Social Security Office. They had missed most of one year of my earnings. I faxed the documentation (twice, six months apart) and it was still wrong. The hold music was the nutcracker. Over and over, for over an hour. Finally talk to a human and she said they had no record of the fax. She told me I had to go in to see a agent in person. Set up the appointment, showed the agent the documents, she fixed in on the computer in 30 seconds. Done. Orders of magnitude faster than multiple hone calls and faxes.

Now I can check my SS earning statement online at the Social Security office web site. Easy Peasy, almost like it was 2018 and not 1970s with just a FAX to communicate.
