Have you tried fire? Uncover the root ball, pour a little diesel on it and let it burn....

Just plant some bamboo there. It will take over the tree and kill it.

I'm pretty sure this is a solution that Vash could get behind!

If it was a stump, you could drill a few large holes and fill with epsom salts and cover. Dries it out and makes it easy to remove. Watched a handyman cut down an eight inch water maple tree with his chainsaw. Got out his circular saw and cut a cross-hatch pattern and filled it with epsom salts and covered. A few weeks later he came back and spent a few minutes prying the softened dried roots and stump out of the ground with minimal effort.

No, amazon wouldn’t ship to me. Maybe it was tractor supply.

I’m gonna bring some back from AZ.

OK, I think you'll find it will do what's needed. If I can be of any further help, please let me know.

Good luck, Cliff...

So scrape a wound in the root and spray? Or drill a hole?

Try copper nails.

If driven into the trunk, they will kill a tree.

Okay. I’ll piss on a shark plug if I thought it would help

I have some copper spikes. I tap a dozen into the root run to test. Thanks.

Ideally.....chainsaw across the top of the stump where the shoots are emerging...sawing them off while at the same time leaving open a fresh generous area for you to spray with the Tordon.

I use one of those small handheld spray bottles you can buy for a buck. Or you can brush it on. They give you a little nozzle with the product that you can also use.

If you don't have access to a chainsaw, you can use a pruning saw or even a sawzall to put some gashes into the stump where the product can get into the cambium layer.

Hopefully this makes sense.

The stump is ground down and I can’t find it. The shoots are coming up from the spread out roots. One big root I think.

I’m attacking this root.

OK, do the same thing to that root as I described - it will work. Good luck!
