Jeff to find out if your sensor has been cut out is like this.If your control box goes all the way up to max heat in any speed(number) the connection to the sensor connection has been corrupted.

Mark I havnt looked for the exhaust one as yet I am unable to jack her up as I am looking for a replacement jack, but the wiring is there on the control unit do you know what the two brown wires are for that come from the back there are 2 yellow ones also that come from under the carpet should these red ones be connected to the yellow ? They have suitable spade end connector

Sorry, don't recall the wiring colours (colors). I do recall that both sensor wires are not regular auto wires, more like a thin coaxial cable in white, or light gray.
