Did you lube the torsion bars before installing them? Mine still had the factory grease all over them (....it was pretty clean too, I should've saved it!)
Will you make a video of re-bushing the banana arms? I would like to watch that video. I am doing that job now. It's a bit of a "task"

Thanks for posting this and the other video's , I will watch them all with pleasure.
Your car looks amazing.

Congrats on the new addition!

You need to protect yourself to take care of that kid! Get your seatbelt fixed before you drive it again. #1 priority. :-) I saw in the last video there's a massive tear in the drivers. It looks completely shot aside from that. seatbelt planet worked for me.

Since your front end is lowered I saw you had the US donut spacer on the top of your strut before you installed it. You can remove that to raise the strut 10mm and save a little weight.

Thanks! Yeah it's easy to get overwhelmed by all the pieces but is just a 10 minute job if you're only cleaning the jets

Thanks! Yes, mine we a little grimey so I wiped and applied fresh grease. I'll probably hold off on the trailing arm bushing until I have a day with access to a lift.

Thanks! Those seatbelts are just what I've been looking for. Are you saying I don't need that donut piece?

AFAIK, that is literally just a spacer to raise the car w/o changing any TB settings.
Bin it and embrace the low life.

Benny,
I am watching your rear spring plate video. Why did you replace your spring plates? Are the bushings really that hard to remove? Is this common? Did you buy the Rennline pair for $250?

What is the official angle from factory?
What was the angle you ended up using?
Why did this require so much trial and error?
Do the OEM spring plates have that adjustment feature you did with the special wrench?

More tedious than difficult. I bought the rennline pair because the price was reasonable enough, and my original ones were pretty gross.

It's a good question what the factory angle once was, but also, by now, I would guess each car is a bit different in that regard. Seems like a perfect question for Grady Clay. Sigh.

I'm shocked that the factory angle is not published 50,000 all over 2 decades of this forum. Is that because you can't measure the angle before disassembly?

It's here somewhere. I've seen it. Plus there's angle calculators somewhere too so you can dial in for specific heights.

Hey these videos are a ton of fun, great job man. I admit it's a bit schadenfreude-y to enjoy someone else running into the awful problems I dealt with on the suspension, but I'm not going to feel bad about it.

Here's that calculator as well, a godsend when I swapped out my torsion bars as they were the perfect height first shot. https://www.elephantracing.com/tech-topics/spring-plate-angle-calculator/

Let me start out by saying I love the vids. Great home mechanic approach to working on a car. Agree with others about giving people confidence to do this on their own.

I'll be honest and say I haven't read everyone's responses, so I apologize if this was already stated:

EDIT: Oops, I just saw your video where you used the weight of the car install method. That was the only way I was able to get the ball joint out (w/o cutting) and achieve the torque required when putting it back in.
