What muffler is that on your beautiful car. I got an M&K 911R for my RSR tribute. I test fit it and it sounds great but sits too low under the rear valance cutouts for my liking. I would like it to fit like yours. Any info on that would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob

The current muffler is a custom Monty that Rothsport mocked up, welded, installed into a set of stock 993 HE's.

Both front oil coolers are back from Pacific Oil Cooler Service.
Sent them out for cleaning and pressure testing.
Came back looking brand new.
Always happy with the service from these guys.

Installation of the front cooler was a snap.

Had to first install the rock shield and fan on the fender mounted cooler.

Next up will be finishing up the front trunk refresh. Cleaning, paint touch up, tiding up the wiring, relocated the battery
from the smuggler's box back to the driver side battery box.
Then will come install of the new 100 liter rally fuel tank.
Should be plenty of updates in the coming days.

Some more progress on the car.
Cleaned coolers are back on the car along with the new factory steel lines that go from front to back.

Some better shots of the new Pirelli Cinturato P7's with the car on the ground.
Great stance, fitment to both the wheel and wheel well.

The 225's fit great on the 15x9's up front
As do the 285's on the rear 15x11 Fuchs.

The car still puts down a big footprint in the rear with the 285's.

We've got big wild fires problems up here in Oregon right now and I live right on the edge of one of those big fires.
To be safe, I have sent the 911 over to a local paint shop I use in case we have to evacuate our area/house.
Check the skies.
Almost apocalyptic at times....

Not good. Hoping for some serious rain and no wind for you folks.

I noticed that the most recent pics show what appears to be a different muffler attached to your 993 HE's. What muffler are you running now and why did you change from the M&K that you had originally?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

The M&K never sounded good enough, we thought didn't make the necessary power with the engine, etc.
So that made way for a custom Monty exhaust that has been exceptional in every way.
Sounds great, makes great power (310 hp/271 torque), fits perfect.
Rothsport did the inlets in house to mate up with the 993 HE's.

That said, this current setup will likely give way to a set of custom headers (no heat) along with a GT3RS muffler for even better sound and performance.

After some later summer fun of a total knee replacement, finally getting back on the chassis refresh project.
I'm able to get on the ground and back on my feet again without some severe knee pain. That is so nice.

Getting most the front end buttoned up tonight.
Front bumper is on with a new bumper to body seal.
Thought that might be a nightmare scenario but the seal from Aase Sales fit really nicely.
Some fresh paint (horns and chassis components), new yellow cad hardware, deep cleaning, undercoating touchup, etc.
Looking much better and not so tired.

Can't wait to get the car back on the ground and try out the new Pirelli Cinturato P7's.
They really compliment the wide Fuchs better than any tire I've come across so far.

The car is put back together and cleaned/refreshed from stem to stern.
Weather should cooperate this Wednesday for a quick drive to see how the new Pirelli Cinturato P7's feel and work.
I'm expecting big things from these tires.

Got my Scheel 100's reupholstered as the original corduroy centers were beginning to look a bit weak compared to the rest of the car.
Picked a subtle tartan plaid with just a sliver of green in it.
Came out great I think.
So this is a real "twist" compared to a stock Scheel.

Best part is they are still the most comfortable sport seats I've ever sat in.
Anyone have a guess where this tartan plaid is also used???

The passenger seat has some issues with the frame that we needed to go back and address, but I would think just a few more days to a week to have it completed and back in the car.

OMP? Yes at limited capacity. Maybe we need a out of schedule meeting of the gang.
