3.6 heat. Crossover solution...

I will be using one of Thom's RS bypass tubes but need to split the outflow. Well, I tried to fabricate a "Y" pipe for heat crossover. My solution was not nearly as clean as Thom's (pictured). So I got back on the net and found that many of the aircraft supply places that sell SCAT tubing also sell "Y" pipes specifically to join SCAT tubing. Just thought I'd share what looks like a clean solution.

Any particular reason you are not using the 993 ducts to connect to the heat exchanger inlets? Not enough room w/ those mufflers?

I don't have any 993 ducts. Don't know if they'll fit. Definitely no room for the stock heater blower. Planning on using an RS style heater blower bypass.

Moses, exactly where did you find that nice welded-aluminum Y pipe? I tried Aircraft Spruce and Wicks and couldn't find anything. It's exactly what I need, to replace the plastic plumbing-fitting kludge I've got in there currently.

Here is a diagram of the 993 heat ducts, they have nothing to do w/ the blower

The transverse tube #8 fits above and behind the stock cat.

Bill,

#8 is $$$$ if you have to buy it new from Porsche. But it sure would be nice to have it. Paul is making something similar from fiberglass.
