x-faktory_RHD/ITB kit.

As many of you know, I've been working with RHD Engineering, helping them to configure their ITB product for use on the 911 engine......well, here's a pic of the production units.... what do you think?

1st as parts.....

And then as assembled units.....

regards,
al

Very nice. Can one of the two most common aftermarket air filters be modified to fit? Wire mesh over each trumpet will keep out rocks, but not the dust your or someone else's big off creates.

Look great, how is the fit and finish as you assemble?
I’m sure you are one of the best judges on quality.

Walt,
Not quite there for Rainhat type filter housings, but filter socks will work for filtering and I believe that the ITG JC90 will work with this configuration too with the baseplate machined to match the intake. Stay tuned.

al

Great looking system. I see these are replacing the Triumph system in your line...do you consider them a considerable upgrade in terms of flow and design over the Triumph system or more of a different strokes for different folks deal?

BTW, very happy X-Faktory customer here. If you’re considering working with Al, don’t. Just do it, you won’t regret it.

I saw RHD and assumed this was your regular kit modified for our 911 brothers and sisters who's car were born with right hand drive. John

Mike,
There may be some benefit to the direct-to-head design over the Triumph, PMO, Weber type manifold design, but I suspect that it will be negligible for all but the most dedicated track machine........more of a different strokes, I think. I was the 1st or one of the 1st to adapt the Speed Triple ITBs to Weber manifolds/911 engines. After many years of successful installs.....others have also seen the value, but this has resulted in a diminishing supply and rising prices for the Triumph ITBs. I saw this coming a couple years ago and knew that if I wanted to continue to supply a nice system for reasonable prices, I would need to search for an alternative.....I started working with RHD, hoping to end up with a great alternative system...at similar pricing. ......and I believe that we did it.........

regards,
al

Bill is based in Aus so does design a lot of RHD centric stuff, though of course throttles are fairly universal!

Someone needs to come out with a direct to head kit and eliminate all the parts bolted together. I know AT Power makes for the 3.6

Jim,
Agreed....I am also a dealer/reseller for ATPower....beautiful stuff at twice the price of the RHD units......awesome products from both companies, but not quite apples to apples comparison......but, I hear you.

al
